One of the toughest things about going through this with Brandon is finding my own balance between "supportive understanding partner" and "insistent, hard- assed. On one hand I see how much he is suffering, how weak he is, how the small act of sitting up exhausts him. So I want him to rest, sleep and not do anything but let me take care of him. Monday, September 21, 2009. Our trip back East.Connecticut and New York. Jon was in New Jersey for 2 weeks for job training from the end of August through the first week of September. After Labor Day (spent in Show Low), Mikayla and I made the trip back East to meet up with Jon and visit friends and family. And the US Airways Hags, excuse me, flight attendants, didn't even offer to help even though they saw me struggling. I did have one passenger get up and help me, what a gentleman! On Friday October 23rd, Miss Mikayla, Grandma Mary and I went to the Phoenix Botanical Gardens (located near the zoo) for the pumpkin festival. They were only having it for 4 days over the weekend.
