Tales from the Upper West Side: I'm back!

http://cancerinnyc.blogspot.com/2014/07/im-back.html

Tales from the Upper West Side. What started out as a blog during internship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.and now follows my journey through an MFA at Columbia. Monday, July 28, 2014. Trying to keep NC homesickness at bay, can you tell? Oh - and perhaps the thing I am most excited about, I am studying to get my doula certification. I'm going through Intuitive Doula. Looking forward to it though. So I'm very busy, but trying to stay afloat in the big dirty city. I can't believe summer is halfway over!

Tales from the Upper West Side. What started out as a blog during internship at Memorial Sloan-Kettering.and now follows my journey through an MFA at Columbia. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. In three days I will turn 30, and you know, I'm not upset about it. After all, as someone said to me yesterday, what's the alternative? It’s Cold In Here | Nursing Student Chronicles

https://mindexplosion.wordpress.com/2010/02/02/its-cold-in-here

This is a nursing student blog on a journey from S.N. to R.N. It’s Cold In Here. Nope, the title isn’t a reference to the temperature outside. It is actually a patient quote. This is a flashback to the PACU floor. At school the other day, we were having a conversation about our very first catheter insertion on a real live, breathing person. Mine was in the PACU. My patient was super distended, in lots of pain, and asking if there was anything we could do to make him void since it was so uncomfortable.

Lab Values | Nursing Student Chronicles

https://mindexplosion.wordpress.com/2010/02/01/lab-values

This is a nursing student blog on a journey from S.N. to R.N. Snow day is over and it’s back to the nurse-y posts. At least for a little while…. Anyways, this has saved my life in clinicals. My coassigned on the oncology floor showed it to me and I haven’t taken a second glance back since. Hopefully this will be helpful to someone else down the road! This is a chem 7 basic metabolic panel. So you’ve got:. Sodium, Chloride, BUN. Potasium, Bicarb, Creatine. And then for your CBC stuff:. Trackback ( 0 ).

One Day at a Time: Loser Like Me

http://onedayatatimebroward.blogspot.com/2011/03/loser-like-me.html

One Day at a Time. Make it so today is not like yesterday, and tomorrow will be different forever. Tony Robbins. Friday, March 18, 2011. Yeah, you may think that I’m a zero. But, hey, everyone you wanna be. Probably started off like me. You may say that I’m a freakshow (I don’t care). But, hey, give me just a little time. I bet you’re gonna change your mind. All of the dirt you’ve been throwin’ my way. It ain’t so hard to take, that’s right. And I’ll just look away, that’s right. So everyone can hear.

Cancer in my thirties. I was a mom to twin kindergartners and had just turned 34 when a breast CANCER diagnosis completely changed my life…. About – * *Read Me First* *. Yep, I’m a Cancer Patient. Last ride of the summer with the boys and my pups…. I’m going to try something new here. Rather than focus on a premeditated topic, I am just going to write. Crazy, huh? Of course. A healthcare and insurance insider's view to managing a cancer diagnosis. Welcome to the Cancer Insider's Guide. By Lee McLeigh, MHA. This is The Cancer Insider's Guide website.
