Trying to keep NC homesickness at bay, can you tell? Oh - and perhaps the thing I am most excited about, I am studying to get my doula certification. I'm going through Intuitive Doula. This is a nursing student blog on a journey from S.N. to R.N. It’s Cold In Here. Nope, the title isn’t a reference to the temperature outside. It is actually a patient quote. This is a flashback to the PACU floor. At school the other day, we were having a conversation about our very first catheter insertion on a real live, breathing person. Mine was in the PACU. My patient was super distended, in lots of pain, and asking if there was anything we could do to make him void since it was so uncomfortable.

One Day at a Time. Make it so today is not like yesterday, and tomorrow will be different forever. Tony Robbins. Friday, March 18, 2011. Yeah, you may think that I’m a zero. All of the dirt you’ve been throwin’ my way. It ain’t so hard to take, that’s right. And I’ll just look away, that’s right. So everyone can hear.

Cancer in my thirties. I was a mom to twin kindergartners and had just turned 34 when a breast CANCER diagnosis completely changed my life…. About – * *Read Me First* *. Yep, I’m a Cancer Patient.
