We were annual pass holders for a year but I didn't renew because the kids weren't as excited with visiting. And I wasn't excited that large school groups were ALWAYS there, often with bigger kids and rougher behavior. But thanks to a thoughtful donation (free passes for 4! We checked things out again. It was nice to see some new exhibits/play areas.

Childcare in Capital Village}. Tuesday, June 16, 2015. School is out. Time for a daycare staycation- this week France. We served French toast, crepes with homemade whip cream, baguette, chocolate croissant, Madeleine tea cookies, French fries and for dinner one night, homemade French onion soup (amazing but not beloved by the youngsters). Fun cheese tasting activity:. Brie was the winner and goat cheese caused scrunched noses. So proud of the kids for trying something new! Paper square collage flag.

Childcare in Capital Village}. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Warm Up to Two. Tomorrow Mr. C turns two but we won't see him. So we celebrated a day early with some favorites: cupcakes and balloons. Love this little guy. He is sometimes quiet with the girls, an energetic outdoorsman and always a serious investigator. Wednesday, April 29, 2015. So glad I had this big helper along! Inspiration struck and we were able to practice a few other very important lessons: 1) finding a good bargain 2) finding a good shoe.

Childcare in Capital Village}. Monday, February 9, 2015. Today I let the Kinders browse through my Valentine's Day Pinterest folder. They could each pick one craft to do today. They both picked painting trees. Bottle cap and q-tip applicators. I sort of hate the black trunks but they didn't mind. Add brown sharpie to the craft list. Product Recommendation: Kinetic Sand. At $11 a pound it seemed sort of crazy. But with a credit and a lot of rainy days coming up it seemed like a good investment.
