The Mary Valley Heritage Railway. Here are some pics I took of the MVHR on Sunday 29th August 1999. Congratulations to the people of Gympie and all invoved in the restoration of this railway line. A visit to Chillagoe, Queensland, September 2010. We visited Chillagoe QLd back in September 2010. It was only a short stay of a day and a night. It was a toss up between visiting the Chillagoe caves or taking in the history of the town. A history tour won the toss. Almaden - Queensland - Australia
A real Aussie outback town, less than 3 hours drive from Cairns. To get to a town anywhere near like Almaden you'd normally have to spend a few days heading into the outback on dirt roads. But not this little gem, the road is sealed all the way from Cairns. And Saturday mornings at 11.45am. Lunch gets underway about 5 minutes after the train arrives and lasts for about half an hour. So don't be late or you'll miss out. Check out the Savannahlander train timetable. To be certain the train is running.

The Tin Can Bay Dolphin. Tin Can Bay is north of Noosa Heads and just east of Gympie in Queensland, Australia. The images above were taken in November 2002 on a trip to Tin Can Bay. The locals told me that the dolphin comes in for feeding at 8am each morning. I questioned the time 8am, does a dolphin know what time it is?
