De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC: A few new photo albums
http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2009/04/few-new-photo-albums.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Saturday, April 11, 2009. A few new photo albums. Just a quick update and more photos. Simon, as always, is a hard working puppy. We take him to classes twice a week: Monday is agility and Wednesday is Obedience level II. The faster I run, the faster he runs. I end up doing sprints all class long ;) Anyway, we love it! The only problem around here is finding water clean enough. Most ponds and lakes are pretty polluted :(. I loved the pics! April 12, 2009 at 9:37 PM.

http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2009/03/photos-from-tarheel-dog-show-in-raleigh.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Saturday, March 21, 2009. Photos from Tarheel dog show in Raleigh. Here are some new photos of Steve and Simon from Wednesday, March 18, 2009. Simon is 12 months old here. This was our first attempt at showing Simon, but it didn't go very well because he got excused for not allowing the judge to look at his privates. We decided to skip Friday show because Steve and Simon need to work on this little issue. We learned a lot and so it was not a total loss. Some practice and...

De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC: November 2008
http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Saturday, November 15, 2008. Simon, as of today, is 50 lbs (49.8) and 24" at the shoulder. He had a growth spurt since last month, but only added 3 lbs or so. However, he grew almost 1". He still has some growth left in his legs, so we are hoping for 25" eventually. He is a lanky, active teenager and a very good dog. He also enjoys carrying very large, heavy, ungainly, hard to manage, tree branches. Hmm I think I will give that a try. We are taking "Distraction proofing"...

De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC: September 2008
http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2008_09_01_archive.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Saturday, September 13, 2008. As of September 13, Simon is exactly 45.8 lbs. We have started the Good Canine Citizen class. Also a very good class, and a very good instructor. Just in one session we have learned several good training techniques. Simon is doing very well in the class. He is the youngest dog, but the best-behaved. Oh, and finally: today we got Simon to jump in and out of my Jeep. What a wonderful training tool. Sunday, September 7, 2008. In the NC mountain...

De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC: December 2008
http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Sunday, December 21, 2008. We had Simon posing outside on our cul-de-sac. He did very well. I put him in stand/stay, sit/stay and down/stay, while Steve took photos. Simon never broke stay until he was released. I was very proud of him. There were many things going on around him, and his attention never wavered. The gaiting photos are not that good because I had no idea what I was doing. I had the lead on wrong, I was walking wrong, you name it, and I did it wrong. I hav...

De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC: June 2009
http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Wednesday, June 3, 2009. Update on Simon's life - 15 months old. Simon is 15 months old, 53.3 lbs and about 25 1/2" at the shoulder. Steve and Simon has just started a novice rally-o class. It's a class to prepare us to do the trials for RN. Most of the stations are pretty easy for Simon at this time, so hopefully we can get RN this fall. They train every Saturday, staring with tracking, then obedience, then protection. The sheep were not scared or anxious around him.

De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC: July 2008
http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Tuesday, July 22, 2008. Teething, schooling, and summer. The big thing right now, of course, is the teething. Simon is pretty uncomfortable. I give him wet frozen towel to chew on. He seems to enjoy that. Simon didn't panic or get scared. He stayed calm and close to us, but he was not in the mood to chase anything there. They only train dogs for police competitions, and they were not doing mondioring or any other type of ring sport. I don't think we will be back. Simon c...

De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC: February 2009
http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Tuesday, February 24, 2009. Well, we did it - we have signed up for the Raleigh Conformation show. Steve and Simon are going to the Raleigh Conformation show at the end of March. We have signed up for the Salisbury North Carolina Kennel Club show on Wednesday March 18th, and for Durham Kennel Club show on Friday March 20th. I guess we will at least find out if Simon qualifies to be in a conformation show if he does not get disqualified for something. The Teamworks' pre-a...

http://courageofsimon.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
De Vel Courage of Simon, RN, CGC. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. First time in several years we got a snow day! Simon has never seen snow before, and he loves it! It should be around 5" before it is all over, and tomorrow it will be gone, so we will enjoy it today. We are planning to take Simon to play in the snow in our little forest. We will bring the camera. Thursday, January 8, 2009. Photos from mountains near Asheville. The new photos are from our hikes off Blue Ridge Parkway near Asheville, NC. He love...
