July 30, 2014. Yellowbrick Track, Ayehsa II ARC 2013. GPS makes yacht navigation staggeringly accurate as long as it’s working, but letting others know where you are can be complicated. On the past two transatlantic trips we’ve had a Yellowbrick tracking device on board which can be viewed from any computer online as well as on an App for the iPhone. Participants. At one point yachts were spread over three million square miles of ocean. Http:/ www.yellowbrick-tracking.com. Atlantic Rally For Cruisers.

August 19, 2014. Between Scilla and Charybdis. Somewhere between a rock and a hard place getting a kicking. 8216;You consider me a young apprentice, caught between Scilla and Charybdis. Hypnotised by you if I should linger, staring at the ring around your finger. I have only come here seeking knowledge, things they would not teach me up in college. I can see that destiny you sold, turning to a shining band of gold.’ The Police, Wrapped Around Your Finger. Next post →. Atlantic Rally For Cruisers. You are...

Reflections on a season in The Caribbean. April 19, 2014. Is one of the best- full of the excitement of discovery that cruising offers. It has to be said that between St Lucia in December and getting ready to leave the Caribbean here in Antigua the islands in between are a bit of a blur now because I have been so busy. But there are some elements of life on a boat here that have made every day special…. So, a lot of new faces, experiences, and islands. But most fundamentally- constant sailing. Like I sai...

Winterisation | theconstantsailor
https://theconstantsailor.wordpress.com/2015/03/10/winterisation
March 10, 2015. Repairs and maintenance. For yacht and crew. Yachts need a couple of months every year to thaw out, and as I’ve learned this year, so do skippers. In the boat world they call preparing the boat for this. Home for the winter ashore. I have spent the past four months ticking a few things off the bucket list, developing my qualifications, and making plans for what next. It’s been great. Here’s what I’ve been up to:. Where I have eaten with clients before. Right in the heart of the old to...

April 20, 2014. One’s quality of life is not strictly determined by the number of years lived: ‘The aim is to live out each stage to the full, and it is immaterial whether the life journey takes fifty or a hundred years to complete’. Stormbound…honest. | theconstantsailor
https://theconstantsailor.wordpress.com/2014/07/08/stormbound-honest
July 8, 2014. Despite being a beautiful sunny day here in Stintino Northern Sardinia, Isis, myself, and crew are well and truly stuck here. Winds last night topped 40kts at one point- and that’s inside the comforting harbour wall that’s currently being extended in a nod to this notoriously windy area of the Med. WindGuru predictions for the week ahead…lots of red and purple means no sailing for Isis. Eeery weather on the way North yesterday. What a difference a day makes…. Next post →. Roger D. Taylor.

Twenty-two tips on typography. On April 17, 2011 · 3 Comments. Twenty-two tips on typography is a small (but really important) book on typography by the Catalan designer Enric Jardi. That’s a book, which I was recommended by almost every teacher in my school (even by those, who weren’t Catalan) and that took my ages to find in English. At least here in Barcelona is much easier to find it in Spanish. Buy Twenty-two tips on typography. Middot; Tagged with book. Thinking with type →. Enter your comment here.
