Friday, October 4, 2013. Oct 4, 2013. We stayed at a campground near Pennsylvania’s Grand Canyon. Very deep canyon (actually two merging to one). Hillsides covered with trees that should be spectacular in a couple of weeks. First time we have seen this. Read the sign. What to do with surplus pumpkins. Thursday, October 3, 2013. Oct 3, 2013. New York didn’t disappoint, at least the route we took. Oct 2, 2013. Western Vermont is a few days behind with color change but still very colorful. Oct 1, 2013.

Saturday, July 19, 2014. July 19, 2014. Tetons and Drive South. Yesterday we drove the loop through Grand Teton NP. revisiting sites we had seen and done several years ago. We saw LOTS of people. Far more than we remembered from last time and we are only three weeks sooner this time. Saw some wild life (Buffalo, pronghorns, elk, coyote, badger, and maybe some others) and LOTS of people. . Pictures do not begin to give justice to size of this guy. Antler span was 5 or 6 feet. States We Have Visited.

Sunday, September 1, 2013. Aug 30, 2013. Sleepy Hollow and West Point. Car trip day. South to Sleepy Hollow – home and literary inspiration of many of Washington Irving’s stories. Yes, Washington Irving is buried in the Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in a family plot. The eye opening thing is that there are a number of other notable people buried there. Probably the largest open space in whole cemetery. Note family plot outline in foreground and density of graves in distance. Now the interesting inhabitants.
