The Knitting Moose: May 2008
http://carrieknitting.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
My little knitting corner of cyberspace. Yeah, I know. Original title, huh? A knitting blog about yarn. heh. ;o). I just placed an order at Blue Moon Fiber Arts.whee! I had SUCH a hard time deciding what colors to get. I love so many of them! Some are not me but so many are that it was nearly impossible making a decision. Especially since I am not a very decisive person! I got three skeins, two just for some fun socks and one for something else. I cant wait to see them in person! I plan to line the bag t...

The Knitting Moose: December 2007

My little knitting corner of cyberspace. Hope everyone [who celebrates it] had a nice Christmas! We certainly did. It was both fun-filled and family-filled. My husband and I are both off all week, so it's really felt like a nice, long, holiday. We spent Christmas day with my cousins and their respective families. Since there were a lot of people, we'd decided ahead of time not to exchange gifts. However, I wanted to do a little something, so I made Cookie Cutter Fudge. I also made these Candy Cane Cookies.

My little knitting corner of cyberspace. I finally took my scarf off the blocking pad.and here it is! I'm very pleased with how this came out, and I have to say I'm rather proud of it. :o). It blocked nicely too. Here you can see the scalloped edges, which is a feature I love about it. And the blocking helped the scallops at the ends, which didn't naturally want to scallop as much. Fuchsia Lace Scarves, Trailing Lace version, by Eugen K. Beugler (from Fibertrends. Blocked size 48" x 6". I just moments ag...

My little knitting corner of cyberspace. Fall Embossed Leaves Socks. And I love them. Okay, so, these are kind of goofy pictures but of all the ones I took they showed off the socks and pattern the best. I'm happy with how the contrasting colored toes, heels and cuffs worked out. My comments on this pattern/project: First off, make sure you cast on loosely! This is crucial, trust me. I used one size larger needle for this too. Embossed Leaves Socks from Favorite Socks. Knit Picks Essential Solid. One of ...

About | The Knitting Moose
https://theknittingmoose.wordpress.com/about
My little knitting corner of cyberspace. Knittingmoose AT yahoo DOT com. Hello, and welcome! My name is Carrie and I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and two cats, Maddie and Moose. They are very tolerant of all the yarn, but Moose definitely likes to help a little too much! You might be wondering why the blog is called The Knitting Moose. Well, this name was actually the brainchild of a friend of mine. She came up with it and we both thought it was catchy, and so it stuck! Thanks for stopping by!

My little knitting corner of cyberspace. Laquo; Third post. This is a knitting blog? April 17, 2008. I’m beginning to learn my way around here. I think I like it. The only thing I can’t figure out yet is why my comments aren’t getting mailed to me? I’ll have to figure that out. But other than that, I think I like it. Some things are much simpler and easier to use, others, not as much. Here’s an outside comment for you! Cute start to the blog. I’m a newbie here too… :-) best of luck! On The Needles….

Blog of my year in Afghanistan. Leaving’ the Stan. I like camels. I have never actually met a camel, but I still like them. If fact, some of my readers may feel the need to tell me that camels stink, and spit, and other nasty things. I do not dispute that, but you know what? I still like camels and nothing anyone says is going to change that. At least not until a camel actually does something to offend me personally. Disclaimer: Camel haters need not comment to this post! Obviously, voting is an importan...

Follow me on the web. March 4, 2015. March 4, 2015. I decided to run on the treadmill at the gym today for my 30 minutes. After the last attempt, I thought I’d better be close to a bathroom (ahem.). I know that running on a treadmill is not as difficult as running on the street because the belt does some of the work for you. I try to put the incline up about 10% (which isn’t much, but it’s something). About 9 minutes of this was walking to warm up and cool down. I don’t necessarily. 1 (pie in the sky goa...

The Knitting Moose
My little knitting corner of cyberspace. Apparently I am a sheep. Why? Because I could not resist this scarf. And had to follow all of the other people who have made it and cast on. For one of my own! Its the noro scarf that I keep seeing all over the net. Its made. From 4 balls of at least two different colors of Noro Silk Garden. Which are alternated every two rows. The result is fantastic. I love. How the colors shift slowly and intertwine with each other. So fun! And the yarn is. I started early on p...
