Lake Chelan State Park. July 7, 2016. July 7, 2016. Most of Washington’s state parks are pretty great. The parks are located in some of the most beautiful areas in Washington. If I were to rate the parks on a scale of 1-10, Lake Chelan would most definitely be a 10. You can get a campsite on a gorgeous lake, and park your boat on a nearby dock. What else can you ask for? July 14, 2014. July 1, 2016. On the first Friday of June, we packed up our backpacking gear after work and drove 3 hours up to Lake Chelan. We stayed the night at 25 Mile Creek State Park, and caught the Lady of the Lake. This was probably one of the most beautiful trails I’ve been on. There were views of the mountains and lakes around every corner. The trail was mostly flat, but it felt a lot harder while hiking in the direct sun. We spent one day hiking out to the beaches of the north (by La Push), and another exploring the beaches near Kalaloch. On the way home we visited the ranger station near Lake Quinault. Rialto Beach and Hole-in-the-Wall. August 9, 2013. July 1, 2016. While camping at Kalaloch. A few weekends ago, we visited most of the northern Washington Beaches. Rialto Beach is north of the Quillayute River from La Push. To get there, you drive from highway 101 to highway 110. Follow the signs to Mora Campground, and then continue onto the beach. The town on the north end of Lake Chelan), I’ve been wanting to explore the remote campsites along the lake. Luckily, I have family members who own boats, and said family members sometimes take us out on their boats. Along the way, we stopped at a few of the remote campgrounds.
