Una vita in pillole. Lo chiamo così come fanno gli Americani. I peperoni mi ricordano appunto l’eterodossa pizza pepperoni. Stufare cipolle di tropea e peperoni rossi con olio e poco vino rosso e poi frullarli. Fare risotto con brodo vegetale aggiungendo verso la fine il frullato. Macinata di pepe buono. Opzionalmente spolverata di scamorza. I bimbi hanno apprezzato! C’è una ricetta sul libro Risotti di Riso Gallo che aggiunge Tonno e olive, un giorno lo proverò. Patè della Nonna Vera.

Una vita in pillole. Beh non ce l’ho fatta: la mia cena è venuta un po’ a caso. Ho scopiazzato una ricetta sulle capesante cambiando il vino bianco con il brandy e il prezzemolo con il timo. In sintesi: creare salsina con burro fuso, olio, aglio, foglioline di timo fresco, sale e pepe e brandy; versarlo sulle capesante passandole poi in forno. Patè della Nonna Vera. Travis Jenkins and I came upon the sentence ‘This chapter deals with a number of small fish of no economic importance.’ It tickled me because the unfortunate fish that was singled out for this rather damning epithet was the seahorse, surely a fish that everyone knows and (mostly) loves.
