The adventure begins again! Saturday, June 9, 2012. I was looking at Deb and wondering if I could put her through all this again, with the miserable Texas heat. Also, she rarely escaped the box, and now with no way to drive it, we would have to be parked in a plug-in site to have air conditioning. I guess the decision was made for me. The box had to go. This is pretty much the heart of our system, we have 2 agm batteries wired in parallel, and grounded through the floor of the van to the chassis. It's all wired with 2/0 stranded wiring, and I can isolate each one with the switch that controls battery 1, battery 2, or both together. Each deep cycle agm is rated for 235 amps. So I've obviously had more than a few days to cool off and decompress since "the incident". Composure regained and dignity has been salvaged. Well, what little of it I have left. Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Prairiewind caught this one in flight, and shot the majority of the photos. There have been some geese and ducks making their way south as well and stopping over at the pond for the night, like this small flock of Blue Winged Teal. I reconnected with some friends that I've known for 30 years who are currently raising their 6 (! I will definitely have to do something about the paint on the rear though. LOL. Friday, November 21, 2014. A single-wide mobile home doesn't exactly have a ton of space, and the storage shed freezes in the winter. The best solution I could come up with quickly was in the back hall/laundry area. It makes it a bit tighter getting to the washer and dryer, or out the back door, but the dryer door still opens completely and with the two big dogs gone I rarely use the back door.
