Thursday, May 18, 2017. Portuguese Kale Potato Soup. I haven't been here forever! But I just made my own spin on the traditional Portuguese soup (caldo verde) and it's too good not to post. What makes it awesome are these tiny Korean Berkshire sausages. There are a few brands out there and I cannot seem to find a picture of the one that is my favorite, but it basically looks like this:. Serves 4 as main course. 1 medium onion, diced. 3 cloves garlic, sliced. 1 bunch kale, curly or lacinato, shredded.

Thursday, February 13, 2014. Thomas Keller is a genius. I did meet him once in person (*EEP! And he was nice and gracious. Going to The French Laundry. Is a big, big dream of mine . as well as going to all his other restaurants in Yountville. However, there is a Bouchon Bistro. In Beverly Hills and it's relatively easy and much cheaper to get my fix of his food there. Bouchon was a part of DineLA. Recently, so it was the perfect opportunity to make another visit. Soup du jour - carrot, crispy pepitas.

You have received a plethora of awards, including Food and Wine's Best New Chef and James Beard Award Best New Restaurant and I've been dying to go to you but alas, you are super far away in San Francisco. And it is ridiculously hard to get a reservation. But finally, FINALLY I got a chance and you did not disappoint. Garlic bread with burrata. Smoked duck, mushrooms, hazelnut strudel. Love and Olive Oil.
