What if fireworks were banned and there were no more firework displays on the Fourth of July or on New Year's Eve or at Disneyland or any other place or time for that matter? Would people be up in arms? And if so why? Are fireworks tied to our memories and therefore when an occasion arises where fireworks have always played a major part, we cannot imagine that event without fireworks because we 'remember' all the firework displays in the past?
