This web site is to be used for real-time aerosol air quality forecasting. The background basemap is the daily Terra MODIS Aerosol Optical Depth product (MOD04), which is used to initialize trajectories which show where the aerosol is expected to move in the next approximately 48 hours. The products are derived from MODIS data acquired and processed directly from the Terra satellite.
