Happy 4th of July! We have been enjoying our summer and watching Katelyn grow like crazy. She is full of smiles and has lots to say most days. At her 2 month appt. she. Weighed 9 1/2 lbs and is now sporting a double chin, chipmunk cheeks, and her arms and legs are starting to resemble sausage links. She has begun to scoot about, and we often find her up in the corner of her crib after starting off asleep in the middle. She is very strong and has the legs of a future soccer player. Katelyn is 6 weeks old as of Wednesday! She is getting so big and has really started to "talk" to us (cooing in baby lingo). On April 30th we welcomed our beautiful baby girl, Katelyn Delaney Purcell, into the world. She weighed 5 lbs, 12 oz, and was 18 1/4 inches long. She is a petite little thing, but full of spunk! She was delivered by c-section after 19 hours of labor. Kathy and Katelyn did great and everyone is happy and healthy. First weeks at home. Chris and I are enjoying parenthood and learning how to function on minimal sleep! We are also learning how many things we can do one-handed. We are having lots of fun with Katelyn and watching her grow and change every day it seems. We can't believe how CUTE she is and now understand how a whole day can be spent just staring at the baby! This is a beach called Waimea Bay. I love it! In the summer it is a lake with not even a ripple, and in the winter the waves get up to 25 feet. It is really amazing to see the transformation.
