Hi, I’m Calli. If you enjoy your visit, be sure to follow me:. Laquo; Using Arm and Hammer Baking Soda. Baking Soda Baby Love and a $25 Visa Gift Card Giveaway. Half Squares on Point. July 15th, 2011. I’ve started making a new quilt for my family room sofa. I just know it’s going to be used, abused and loved. The blocks are so quick and easy. But without a lot of a time to sew lately, I figure I’ll just chip away at it making 10 or so blocks a day. Stitch down one side using a scant 1/4 inch seam…. 8230;...

I have been a crazy quilter for 12 years. This blogs looks at where I've been, how I got there, and where I'm headed next. Sunday, July 17, 2011. Aunt Kay to the Rescue! I have whined sufficiently so that my sister-in-law, Kay, is flying into town to help me with those "cantankerous corners"! Kay is what a "crazy" quilter like me needs. We are a great team. Kindred Spirits: Porch Rejuvenation - Summer Project #1
http://crazykindredspirits.blogspot.com/2011/05/porch-rejuvenation-summer-project-1.html
I have been a crazy quilter for 12 years. This blogs looks at where I've been, how I got there, and where I'm headed next. Tuesday, May 31, 2011. Porch Rejuvenation - Summer Project #1. Painting the wicker chairs charcoal gray helped coordinate the chairs, swing, and pew with the bricks. We bought the side table at a "Big Box" store. Amy replaced the top with a vintage wooden checkerboard that she sprayed with poly. The colors in the crate look so much richer against the gray table. By Colette Wolff....

Kindred Spirits: The Jewelry Room
http://crazykindredspirits.blogspot.com/2011/06/jewelry-room.html
I have been a crazy quilter for 12 years. This blogs looks at where I've been, how I got there, and where I'm headed next. Wednesday, June 15, 2011. I admit, I'm avoiding my unfinished projects! Yesterday, I cleaned the jewelry room instead of sewing. Choosing cleaning over sewing means that I am really stuck with "Dysfunctional Kitty" and "Cantankerous Corners"! First, stripes were painted on the walls in tone-on-tone taupe. Next, the built-in cupboard and woodwork were painted white. The backs of the b...

Kindred Spirits: I'm Thankful - A Vintage Treasure
http://crazykindredspirits.blogspot.com/2011/06/im-thankful-vintage-treasure.html
I have been a crazy quilter for 12 years. This blogs looks at where I've been, how I got there, and where I'm headed next. Sunday, June 19, 2011. I'm Thankful - A Vintage Treasure. Once the quilt was clean, I began to take a closer look. I discovered that the needle artist from long ago patiently stitched together scraps to make the 3" squares. She sewed together scraps to make scraps - which become 3" squares - constructed into 9-patches that become the quilt. Some patches have a very traditional design.

So here is how I made these slightly wonky blocks. For each 6″ finished block, you’ll need:. Press background fabric...
