The Community Mother Project utilises experienced volunteer mothers in the midlands area to give support to parents with children up to five years of age. The Project has been in existence in Longford/Westmeath for a number of years and has supported over a hundreds of families since its inception. In Ireland today families have wide ranging and diverse needs. Issues such as childcare, balancing work and family life, lone parenting and lack of family networks have put new pressures on today's families.

The Longford/Westmeath Parenting Partnership (LWPP) is offering the world acclaimed Triple-P Positive Parenting Programme FREE to all families with children 7 years of age younger living in Longford/Westmeath. New Faerie Demense in Lucan Demense. All of our volunteers are garda vetted as per The Children First bill which is now part of Irish legislation. All volunteers receive training in child protection. A refresher course also takes place for all volunteers every three years. To download a copy of our child protection policy click here. Baby Café

The Baby Café is a new initiative by Community Mothers to provide an opportunity for parents of babies 0-10 months age Café to meet. The Café is different from a parent and toddler Café because it is exclusive to babies. Parents are encouraged to play with their babies knowing that they are safe from robust toddlers! The Café is run by Community Mothers, who share their experience of parenthood, and offer encouragement and support to all the parents who attends. Baby Café in Longford.
