The node can also provide access to additional databases on request and specializes in the provision of consultancy help for server system setup, web portal and bioinformatics applications development. Retirement of biotin server: The current EMBOSS/database production server biotin.uio.no will be retired in 1st of March 2016. All existing users that are interested in continuing having access to the EMBL datasets and the EMBOSS/BLAST utilities must send a request to us, in order to transition them to our new bioinformatics server biotin2.hpc.uio.no. EMBnet Galaxy service available: After 9 months of tests, we now have a production Galaxy server. The new EMBnet Journal publication Vol 18 Issue 1 is here.
