The Adventures of Trixie Delite: July 2008
http://trixiedelite.blogspot.com/2008_07_01_archive.html
Tuesday, 22 July 2008. Making Pictures with Fabric' workshop with Janet Bolton. Luckily Janet is a very experienced and enthusiastic teacher and I learnt a lot in one day. She was trained as a fine artist so pays a huge amount of attention to colour and composition whereas I think my talents are more concerned with decoration. I started a piece inspired by a photo of the pavement. It’s still a work in progress but this is how far I got during the workshop:. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Slagt en hellig ko.

PatStudio: A Celebration of Slowly Made Goods: A little Korak, please
http://slowlymadegoods.blogspot.com/2009/11/little-korak-please.html
Thank you for visiting. A little Korak, please. These are my first attempts at korak-style piecing. I'm sewing fabric fragments onto a background fabric by making folds in the cloth and pinning them down. Each new piece is laid over the previous one and pinned and then hand-pieced. Eva gave me instructions to get me started and I plunged right in.my usual tempo. But after a bit, I began to wonder what exactly defines korak piecing. Is it the folded-over- fabrics? Is it the style of the quilt? A very free...

Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Hello everyone. The very small book is finished now.I'm still making small changes, but basically it seems OK! I'm hoping to reorganize and reopen the shop soon and I will put the book in there in case you'd like to have one for your very own (or for someone with small hands). Also I've been embroidering t-shirts for the family. Presently am working on an owl but here is a complete goldfinch, the New Jersey state bird. One day this sign appeared on our refrigerator door:. I had ...

http://www.betwixtthebetweens.com/2010_12_01_archive.html
Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Thursday, December 30, 2010. Here is corner number three for ole Mary. Seemed to take forever, with the Christmas holiday. We had our son, and family here, which was lovely, but there was no stitching going on. I have signed up for a quilt history bus trip for next April. Lisa. My best friend Gina, and her husband are coming up from Houston tomorrow to spend New Year's Eve. Gina will then stay and sew for a few days, and I really look forward to her visits. The w...

Betwixt the Betweens: October 2010

Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Mary and I keep on truckin'. I know I'm bad about not showing "process", even though it's not an intentional thing. I just keep thinking that I'll do "one more stem, or one more leaf", and before I know where I am, it's too late! So, this is what the medallion looked like yesterday morning, with quite a number of stems stitched, and over half of the leaves. Links to this post. As I was saying. I'll tell you it took all the discipline I ...

Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Tuesday, March 13, 2012. A bit of progress. I have been plugging away on my cutwork blocks, and I'm currently on number nine. Here are the completed blocks thus far:. Ahh, Blogger is such a mystery. One picture refuses to load. Why? I have no clue. Guess I'll save it for next time. The last block finally popped up. I hope you are all starting to see Spring. We surely are. Michele. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). A 16 part BOM. A bit of progress.

Betwixt the Betweens: November 2010

Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Mary Brown Thanksgiving Update. Slowly, slowly, I am filling in the blanks. Boy, are there a lot of leaves/flowers on this one block! Somehow, or other, in spite of the fact that I've been moving back and forth from side to side, The bottom corner stays empty. I have a plan for almost every empty space, but that bottom is still a mystery. Meanwhile, Dorothy. Has moved on to her first setting triangle. Bravo! Links to this post. However...

Fabric-Fiction-Food-and dogs, dogs, dogs! Wednesday, March 23, 2011. So, before I give up, and go back to sitting 3 feet in front of a fan, with my feet in a tub of icewater, I thought I'd just share a few wildly random thoughts with you good people. Sadly, no eye candy here, but head on over to Barb's. For some truly inspirational photos. Here, in no particular order, are a few things you might not know about me:. 2) I also married an only child. 6) Due to a shortage of military housing we were "forced"...
