So, of course, I was outside with a camera in hand capturing the frozen dawn. The dinner bell above is a reminder of my grandfather’s house, a place I spent most summers growing up. Our coyote neighbors usually stay in the lower field, but one visited in the front yard mostly shrouded in the fog of sunset. One of our coyote neighbors. We have long shared our property with a pack of coyotes. They compete with the dogs for rabbits and love to join in the dogs’ songs, but otherwise cause no issues for us. Normally, however, they venture only into the lower field. Continuing on the hunt.

Our winter has been unseasonably warm and dry, but we finally had a couple of snow days last week – a perfect timelapse photography target. Normally, we have had several snows by this time of year.
