An Urban Cyclist: Focus
http://anurbancyclist.blogspot.com/2014/06/focus.html
Fat-bottomed girls will be riding today. Saturday, June 28, 2014. This blog (shudder, I hate that word) needs a focus. It has existed primarily as a journal of my training rides (and runs) leading up to different events. That is boring. I want it to be more. I have no delusions of being a BikeSnobATL as it were. I don't have any particular insights, and I would like not to continue rehashing the "can't we all get along" approach to riding the roads in Atlanta. I don't know what to do with this space.

An Urban Cyclist: October 2013
http://anurbancyclist.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Fat-bottomed girls will be riding today. Wednesday, October 30, 2013. Short post, short ride. I didn't ride home today. I called my dad to tell him to tell me to. He wouldn't. He asked why I needed to be told to. I told him I'd almost been hit yesterday by a left turn. I'm not scared, I'm just tired of being more anxious and wound-up after a ride than before. He agrees: rides should at least be emotion-neutral. It's just not fun anymore. Atlanta, you're killing me. Letter to Office of Constituent Services.

An Urban Cyclist: A Less Urban Cyclist
http://anurbancyclist.blogspot.com/2015/04/a-less-urban-cyclist.html
Fat-bottomed girls will be riding today. Wednesday, April 8, 2015. A Less Urban Cyclist. G-man and I moved to Athens, GA in January (just before the New Year, actually, but it might as well have been January). Things are- different- here. Different from Blacksburg, even. It has been an adjustment and certainly some culture shock. (Getting used to UGA, getting used to living away from a major metro area again, getting used to 12-hour days, etc.). I can go on a 30-, 50-, 80- (etc.) mile ride from my fr...

Stash Slash Project: February 2011
http://stashslashproject.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
One quilter's commitment to use up her stash before buying more fabric. (At least I want to make a dent in it.). Friday, February 25, 2011. What I have been doing. Well, I feel like I have made some progress. I have the Philhaven quilt top pieced. Just need to get it quilted. The colors did not show up true. Wish the photo was better. Perhaps the picture of the quilted version will be better. Links to this post. Thursday, February 17, 2011. Links to this post. Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Monthly projec...

Stash Slash Project: October 2010

One quilter's commitment to use up her stash before buying more fabric. (At least I want to make a dent in it.). Friday, October 29, 2010. Long Arm Quilting Class. I'll probably rent the machine to do another practice quilt before taking on a larger and more involved one. All in all, I am pleased that I took the class and look forward to improving my skills. Links to this post. Tuesday, October 26, 2010. Lil' Twister Quilt Top. May I have a drum roll please? Here's is my top! I hope.) Well, let me wa...

Stash Slash Project: March 2012
http://stashslashproject.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
One quilter's commitment to use up her stash before buying more fabric. (At least I want to make a dent in it.). Thursday, March 15, 2012. A Good Drying Day". It's a beautiful day in Lebanon, PA. The sun is shining. There is a nice breeze and as my mother use to say "it's a good drying day." What better thing to do than hang the sheets out on the clothesline. We will be sleeping on sheets with a nice fresh scent tonight. Oh my, it's the raffle quilt! The quilt measures 74" by 87". If you want to be the p...

An Urban Cyclist: April 2015
http://anurbancyclist.blogspot.com/2015_04_01_archive.html
Fat-bottomed girls will be riding today. Friday, April 24, 2015. Two and a Half Months to Go. But that has to stop. We (though I can't speak for G, so I) have to start getting in mid-week miles. Excepting that, there's no reason I can't get in at least one good ride T-R each week. The world is my oyster. I should really take pictures while we're on the road, but I'm bad about photos anyway. I'll try, I'll try. Wednesday, April 8, 2015. A Less Urban Cyclist. In Athens (a bike friendly community), there ar...
