COSTFACT’s history dates back to 2001 when Jan Fischer established the GKP Gesellschaft für kostenorientierte Produktentwicklung (“Association for cost-efficient design”) in partnership with the Controlling Department of Technical University Chemnitz, Germany. Focusing mainly on plant manufacturing, the business of GKP was to establish a cost management at the clients’ companies, that already takes place in the process of design and engineering. CostFact improves cost management.
