With My Book and a Quilt: Scout, Atticus, and Boo by Mary McDonagh Murphy

With My Book and a Quilt. Of Books and Life. Monday, June 15, 2015. Scout, Atticus, and Boo by Mary McDonagh Murphy. This ended up being such a lovely book. I was a little afraid that it would be a gimmicky way for a writer to make money off of another wildly successful author, but it ended up being a wonderful idea. What are your memories of To Kill a Mockingbird? Was it an influential book for you, or did it not make a big impact? June 15, 2015 at 8:59 AM. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I love rea...

With My Book and a Quilt: June 2015
http://bookandaquilt.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
With My Book and a Quilt. Of Books and Life. Friday, June 26, 2015. I flew through this project. In just 5 days, I finished painting what I think was the world's ugliest living room. In retrospect, the timing for this project was not fabulous, because I have been busy and gone so much of June, but the living room is so lovely now that I'm starting to forget the hassle and stress of repainting. The chaos (and inconvenience) of a covered up, taped-off living room. Cottonballs on left; Gray Owl on right.

With My Book and a Quilt. Of Books and Life. Monday, February 23, 2015. The Gipsy in the Parlour by Margery Sharp. I guess I'm on a Margery Sharp roll! This book review has been in the works for 2 months. I read this book right after Christmas, then the review got buried in my drafts box and now I'm finally pulling it out because this book really does deserved a proper review. With My Book and a Quilt: Who Am I?
http://bookandaquilt.blogspot.com/p/who-am-i.html
With My Book and a Quilt. Of Books and Life. Thank you for dropping in on my little corner of the blogosphere. I hope you pour yourself a cup of tea and stay for awhile. So who am I? Here are some FAQs that I completely made up, but I can imagine people asking:. What does your blog name mean? Why are there never any pictures or other information about you on this blog? So do you do anything for fun besides read? I also love making anything. I cook incessantly, always have a sewing project, and someti...

With My Book and a Quilt: November 2014
http://bookandaquilt.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
With My Book and a Quilt. Of Books and Life. Sunday, November 30, 2014. An Old Fashioned Thanksgiving by L.M. Alcott. This book was been rather overlooked because it's not very long and it's very easily cute-ified, something that can very easily happen to holiday stories. I think that Alcott originally wrote this as a children's short story, but I really enjoyed it, just as an Austen fan. This was really very well written and gently funny. Labels: All-time favorite books. Saturday, November 22, 2014.

With My Book and a Quilt: Favorites This Friday
http://bookandaquilt.blogspot.com/2015/06/favorites-this-friday.html
With My Book and a Quilt. Of Books and Life. Friday, June 12, 2015. I missed a couple of weeks of this weekly feature (blame summer), but here's the post for today. Here are my favorites this Friday, bookish and not-bookish:. 1) Gray Owl Paint by Benjamin Moore-Yes! I'm embarking on painting the ugly living room next! The walls are covered in various swatches of blue and gray, but I finally found the perfectly shade! 2) Iced Tea-Do I need to say more? I must watch this soon! Speaking of which, I just.
