Sunday, 9 October 2011. We love William Street in Northbridge, so whenever a new café opens up we always find some time to check it out. Bivouac is one such place, located opposite Ezra Pound. We love William Street! Bivouac has two small tables on the street, a large main room and a smaller room towards the back. The café is adorned with artwork - it features different work every month. I like the grass beards! We waited in anticipation for our meals, hoping they would be as good as the coffee! 35/5 (He...

Monday, 28 June 2010. So this is our first non-review post- how exciting! Its about food so don't stress- hahaha! It was my mums birthday a couple of weeks ago and for some reason I always find it hard to buy her something as she pretty much has everything so I tend to opt for gifts that incorporate 'experiences'! So much more fun! It starts tomorrow (Friday 2 July) and finishes on Sunday, so get on down! Check out their website goodfoodshow.com.au. For more details. Take your mum! Saturday, 26 June 2010.

Saturday, 20 August 2011. Wild Poppy, South Fremantle. Sorry for the lack of posts! We've been kind of pre-occupied but never fear we have been breakfast-ing all over the place and have some good ones to share! Last month we decided to hunt for a baby bike seat. We both wondered "where could one find some good ones in this city? And we both said out loud "Fremantle! And our search lead us to a café across the road from a bike shop - Wild Poppy, on Wray Avenue. Other than the fish steak the poached eggs w...

Sunday, 20 February 2011. Mrs S, Maylands. Am I too young for coffee? I ordered the mushrooms, eggs, feta and Turkish bread ($16.50) . Renee chose the cornbread, bacon, eggs and maple ($15.50). There was plenty of other things to crave on the menu too, like toasted brioche, peaches and vanilla bean marscapone ($12). The food was amazing. But more so, it tasted like it came from your grandma! Renee's cornbread tasted like pumpkin scones (one of my grandma's staple foods), and the (plum? Baby T's score =.

Sunday, 22 May 2011. Living just around the corner, we grab breakfast at Cantina 663. At least once a week, and we scored it 17/20 last year. Just so you know, it's as good now as it was back then. Actually, don't come. It's hard enough to find a seat on the weekend as is. Forget I said anything. Ah Cantina 663 is always an old favourite! So you only go there once a year then I guess? 27 July 2011 at 3:59 pm. Nope, were there at least once a week! They must be sick of us by now! 9 October 2011 at 9:58 pm.

Sunday, 15 January 2012. Zucchero, Vic Park. Today we decided to take Tallulah to the zoo, and thought it would be a great opportunity to have a breakfast bite in Vic Park nearby. We chose Zucchero Espresso Bar on Albany Highway, but not because of the alliteration I promise! Renee and Tallulah were peachy keen! What came out was what could best be described as a safe dish. The eggs had no seasoning, the bacon rashers crispy. The mushrooms had a buttery sauce which was eagerly soaked up by the br...I als...

Sunday, 17 April 2011. Pearfect Pantry, Wembley. Or 'the Land of the Doughnut Buildings'. We were planning a trip to Innaloo, and came across the 'Pear'fect Pantry in Wembley as a place to have a bite to eat in the morning in the area. Pearfect's Facebook. The spinach was not astringent and the beans were a vegetable delight. Renee thought that scrambled eggs didn't have much flavour and could have done with some more herbs; the potato stack was a type of potato slice bake. The bacon was maple-li...Altho...
