Saturday, August 4, 2012. This morning I was sitting outside reading the story of Zacchaeus and some things hit me fresh and new or should I say in a very practical way! A man named Zacchaeus heard that Jesus would be passing through Jericho and he wanted to know who Jesus was, but he was a very short man and knew that he would not be able to see for the crowd. Zacchaeus ran ahead and climbed up in a sycamore-fig tree to see Jesus as he passed by that way. Zacchaeus was indeed a very crooked tax collector.
