Kaiya the Service Dog: November 2008
http://kaiyatheservicedog.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Kaiya the Service Dog. Monday, November 24, 2008. Kaiya at Halloween and Thanksgiving. Here is a picture of Kaiya. In her Halloween costume. She was such a great sport and didn't mind wearing it at all. She sat outside with us while we passed out candy to the kids. I think she enjoyed it! Is doing great. We have been with a new trainer for the past few weeks and we are really happy with everything. She is learning fast. One of the things I like about the trainer. A lot of distractions for Kaiya.

Kaiya the Service Dog. Thursday, December 9, 2010. The family is so sweet and I know they will love her :). The past few months Kaiya has been in intense training so that she will pass the certification test while the family raised the money for Kaiya. Once she is ready, she will go to her new home and new family! Kaiya was a blessing to us during the two years we were able to give her a home and she will always be in our hearts! Kaiya the Service Dog: Update
http://kaiyatheservicedog.blogspot.com/2009/06/update.html
Kaiya the Service Dog. Monday, June 1, 2009. Can you believe that it is June? Where does the time go? I said I would post pictures from Kaiya's birthday. Well, they are only a month late :). I think she looks so much older than the little puppy we got back in August. She is such a small lab that people still think she is a puppy. This is a classic Kaiya face:) She is a dog that loves life. Notice the feet. If she plays outside after we cut the grass, her paws turn bright green! Guess it was bath time.

Kaiya the Service Dog. Thursday, September 25, 2008. Kristin and Todd Cox. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. On Saturday we took Lexus and Kaiya to the local Doggy Paddle. This is an annual event Lexington has each year after they close the public pools. They open it up to the local community to bring their dogs and have them swim for the day. The proceeds go to the local dog parks. There were SO many dogs there! Kristin and Todd Cox. Thursday, September 4, 2008. We brought her to church for the first time ...

Kaiya the Service Dog: January 2009
http://kaiyatheservicedog.blogspot.com/2009_01_01_archive.html
Kaiya the Service Dog. Tuesday, January 20, 2009. In order for Kaiya. To get her service vest (training) she needed to pass what is called the Canine Good Citizens Test. This is a test created by the AKC. If your dog can be polite in public. We arrived at Pet Suites in Lexington on Saturday night to have her tested. There were 6 other dogs there who needed to be tested as well in a very small room. I knew Kaiya. Happy and proud of her. She will now get her vest and look like an official service dog!

http://kaiyatheservicedog.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
Kaiya the Service Dog. Monday, October 27, 2008. Todd and I are really excited because. We leave for vacation next week! We are going to Italy with Todd's Mom for 10 days! It doesn't seem real yet but I'm sure it will when we get on the long flight. We have decided to ask friends to watch the dogs instead of paying tons of $ to have them stay at a kennel. Lexus is going to our friends the Clarks. They have a lab mix and the husband, Matt, really likes Kaiya. We have watched their dog Bell before ( pre.

Kaiya the Service Dog: April 2009
http://kaiyatheservicedog.blogspot.com/2009_04_01_archive.html
Kaiya the Service Dog. Thursday, April 16, 2009. Kaiya went to get her OFA x-rays this week. We had tried to get them about two weeks ago at another place, but when we got there to drop her off, they told us it was going to be over $800! I was so mad! That is a big praise because if they didn't look good, that would mean she probably couldn't be a service dog. She is young (only 11 months) so she could develop hip problems later on. It is normally detected around 2yrs. I'll try to remember to take some p...
