Ville de Bruxelles - Part Two. Old and new combine quite beautifully. Parks that offer an oasis of cool and calm. Anywhere else it would be too much. In a palace. it seemed just right. Ceiling panels and chandeliers covered in wings of 1.6 million iridescent jewel beetles. Ville de Bruxelles - Part One. Yes, okay. I'll try. Kings Cross St. Pancras to Gare de Bruxelles-Midi in 2 hours - Eurostar really is the way to go. The Grand Place - very grand indeed. And, of course. chocolate. Family of the heart.

Whenever I have a chance, I escape to a garden. A garden should make you feel you've entered privileged space - a place not just set apart but reverberant - and it seems to me that, to achieve this, the gardener must put some kind of twist on the existing landscape, turn its prose into something nearer poetry. The main things which seem to me important on their own account, and not merely as means to other things, are knowledge, art, instinctive happiness, and relations of friendship or affection.

Held on their 5 acre piece of heaven in Qualicum Beach, the shoot went by in the blink of an eye. This lovely couple and their 4 year old son were an absolute dream to photograph. There were so many images to choose from but here are my favorites. Can't you just hear her laughter through this image? She has an infectious laugh and I think it shows!
