Bookshop Babylon: March 2011
http://bookshopbabylon.blogspot.com/2011_03_01_archive.html
Being a complete and truthful record of the experiences of a bookshop worker. Sunday, March 6, 2011. This started out as a post where I bitch about customers and turned into one where I bitch about society. SO many idiotic customers today. And I've had a LOT in the last couple of weeks. Things have been a bit topsy-turvy at work, hence the lack of posting here for AAAAGES. I think most people will know what I'm talking about. If not, I'm sorry, I can't post about it directly (MYSTERY). To spend money in ...

Being a complete and truthful record of the experiences of a bookshop worker. Sunday, November 21, 2010. Overheard at the Bookshop. Some kids (maybe 18ish):. Kid 1: "Who's Malcolm X? Kid 2: "Oh my god, do you really not know who Malcolm X is! Kid 1: "No, who is he? Kid 2: "Dude, he was like the guy who started the Reformation.". Tuesday, November 16, 2010. Decision Points on the Journey to Lazarus Rising. But what really scares me is the fact that this christmas, three biographies have really jumped out ...

Bookshop Babylon: The Book List
http://bookshopbabylon.blogspot.com/p/book-list.html
Being a complete and truthful record of the experiences of a bookshop worker. An exercise in futility. I figure that if I keep adding to the list of books to read before I die, I will live forever. Italicised titles are ones I've read. Everything is Illuminated/Jonathan Safran-Foer. Shades of Grey/Jasper Fforde. The Beautiful and Damned/F. Scott Fitzgerald. House of Leaves/Mark Danielewski. A Place of Greater Safety/Hilary Mantel. I Married a Communist/Philip Roth. Day After Night/Anita Diamant. Sex, Lie...

I’ve just been granted a sneak peek at Dr. Melanie Rose’s article, No Expectations , which you will see in this very issue. I have to say, it’s inspired me to address the issue from the male perspective. As I mentioned in my Tips for Navigating Sexy Parties . Read more ». Theme designed by Themes by bavotasan.com.

No experimental comic this month. I've been working on a bunch of stuff. Little Dee book #3. Babysitting in San Diego. Freelance. And a lot of time into a sci-fi project I'm working on (the mess of papers shown below), which I'm mentioning as a tease. Hopefully I'll have more to tell in the next couple months. But there is more pretty art behind the cut. On june 13th, so come by! And I got commissioned to do this drawing of the Dee crew in Japan. I'm currently working on coloring it to do some prints.

Bookshop Babylon: SEDUCED I say SEDUCED
http://bookshopbabylon.blogspot.com/2011/05/seduced-i-say-seduced.html
Being a complete and truthful record of the experiences of a bookshop worker. Friday, May 20, 2011. SEDUCED I say SEDUCED. SHOCKED to learn there is gambling going on in this establishment. Very few people will get that joke. Anyway, I am yet again apologising for being a bad blogger. I'm actually an excellent blogger, just not here. Mostly here. What with uni, two jobs and a social life (HA! In fact, for your internetting-pleasure (internet can be a verb, right? IN THE VEIN OF BEING ORGANISED. These are...

Bookshop Babylon: November 2011
http://bookshopbabylon.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Being a complete and truthful record of the experiences of a bookshop worker. Sunday, November 13, 2011. Ugh Xmas is here. Let the gender essentialism begin. So at the shop of dreams, the xmas stock has started to roll in. And it's really at this time of year (and at mother's day of course) that consumerism likes to, in addition to diminishing our bank balances, remind us that all of us are supposed to be exactly the same all the time always. Oh, and what d'you mean you don't celebrate xmas? Socialist...
