Monday, October 6, 2008. Then yesterday, we were at my parents house listening to part of conference and the congregation was to join in singing the hymn. So my sister and my nieces and I started to sing and Oakleigh came to sit next to me and she tried so heart to read the words on the screen and sing along with us. It was so sweet! Children are so wonderful and so innocent and I'm so blessed to have beautiful, sweet children in my life. Not only in my family, but in Jason's as well. Hey I've tagged you!

I generally dislike the many, many posts I read from friends, family, and acquaintances about what a horrible year 20xx was and how they have such a great feeling about the upcoming 20xy. It’s always the same. At the end of 20xy there will be a post about how miserable it was and how 20xz has something great in store for them. I dunno if this is one of those posts or not. Maybe it is. Pot, meet Kettle. Or is it like having kids?

Okay so in my last post I said that I wanted to lose 20 lbs and I've already lost 12 so I only have 10 more to go.I confused myself because my husband and I made it ACTUALLY 22 lbs but I always just tell everyone 20 just to make it easier on myself. A shadow of doubt is seen crossing people’s faces when the topic of conversation moves to the chicken pox and I mention that I have had them FOUR times. Like maybe I just make it up for the attention or perhaps I’m just confused and don’t know that people can only have it. Wednesday, September 10, 2008. Oakleigh brought home her 2nd grade picture today and I must say.she is adorable! I was worried about her hair that morning and thought for sure that I was going to have to do retakes. But we are all happy with them! Did you know that they do air brushing and touch-ups now with school pictures. Geez that would have been nice back in the day! Luckily, i haven't had to do that yet with her pictures.
