March 19, 2012. I’m in Los Angeles for the first performance of a new piece (UNstasis) that I wrote for the Definiens Project. As part of their C3 2010 Commissioning Project. It’s a quartet for oboe, bassoon, violin and cello and I’m excited to hear what they do with it. The concert is 8pm on Tuesday, March 20 at the Ivy Substation in Culver City. More info is on the Facebook event. Musicin’ and Bakin’. Updates and recent work. Proudly powered by WordPress. Schematic ( page 1.

In the city at night. Musician (oboe and english horn); Educator; Arts Administrator. In the city at night. My CD of solo English horn works! Click here or on the CD to buy from CD Baby. This CD project was a little over a year in the making. While it is my debut solo CD, this project is not and never has been about me. It’s about the music and the composers on the CD. I hope I captured the music and character of these pieces for all the listening audience. Click here to listen to sound clips from the CD!

Heretic Opera: October 2009
http://hereticopera.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 29, 2009. October 2009: I barely knew you. This month has been a complete blur, and it seems that today is the first day in a very long time where I feel like I have a chance to catch my breath! What have I been up to? Of all of these activities, the Fresno New Music Festival. Needs a special mention from me. I founded this event back in 2006, and with the fourth festival now having come and gone, I must say how please I am with how it has grown! Was stranded in the Dallas airport!

Thursday, October 29, 2009. It isn't often that we have an opportunity to read the inner thoughts and musings of an internationally recognized top-tier composer. John Adams' new blog, "Hell Mouth," does just that:. Http:/ www.earbox.com/posts. This blog is a must-read, if only because it allows us a chance to further understand Mr. Adams' unique perspective of the world. I have enjoyed reading each and everyone of his posts, and invite all of you to do the same! Kenneth D. Froelich. Form vs. F1. Taking a...
