The Bell Times: August 2006
http://belltimes.blogspot.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Thursday, August 31, 2006. Seeing Luke this morning was the highlight of my day.". Luke and I spent time at the park during Kirsten's meeting this morning. Afterwards, we got to see KJ, Marti and Doreen. Posted by Jim B @ 10:12 PM. Tuesday, August 29, 2006. Most meals Luke says, "Too hot! Then, shaking his head, he says, "It's not too hot." The way he says it, it's Becca's voice we hear. It's funny how well he mimics her. Posted by Jim B @ 5:09 PM.

The Bell Times: February 2006

The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Friday, February 24, 2006. Breaking news.Luke's first big boy pee! Tonight Luke tried his new potty before his bath. Since he has a history of peeing as soon as his feet touch the bath water, I wondered if the old "hand in warm water" trick would work to make him pee. IT DID! And, fluke or not, boy did we celebrate! Jim is skiing in Aspen this weekend with some guys from our small group so he missed it.bummer! Posted by Kirsten @ 9:19 PM. Kirsten w...

The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Monday, July 31, 2006. I looked at the car's outside temperature reading and couldn't believe my eyes. Did that really say 106 degrees? Ok, it's not really. 106, but sure feels like it. I can't complain, though: I've been inside pretty much the whole day. Hope you're surviving your. Weather. Be careful out there. Posted by Jim B @ 5:38 PM. Sunday, July 30, 2006. Here are some shots of Luke meeting his Mommy and me upon our return from CHIC. Few pla...

The Bell Times: March 2006

The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Thursday, March 30, 2006. Well, I've become the very thing I made fun of as a single: a sappy parent who finds cuteness oozing out of anything having anything to do with their kid. Guilty as charged. For instance, here are our shoes, just sitting beside the door at night. Too cute! In case you're wondering, I did. Unpile them and arrange them neatly for the photo. Mr. Sappy Parent, yes. Mr. Together Parent, not a chance! Posted by Jim B @ 2:42 PM.

The Bell Times: October 2006
http://belltimes.blogspot.com/2006_10_01_archive.html
The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Sunday, October 29, 2006. We heard about a trick-or-treating time in Andersonville and thought it would be nice to visit. It was a shop-to-shop thing, so it was nice just wandering up and down Clark street. We forgot the camera, so we're stuck with my cell-phone pictures. Sorry! Luke is pretty apprehensive starting out. (He cried when we first put his costume on.). Eventually, he started getting into it. The suckers were his favorite. I think it's ...

The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Wednesday, June 28, 2006. Daddy See Daddy Do. So Luke and I are are out walking. We're near the L tracks, and a train goes by. I squat down to get at his level and say, "look at the train! Then he squats down to watch the train go by. And that's encouraging and frightening at the same time. Posted by Jim B @ 4:55 PM. Wednesday, June 21, 2006. Did I Just Say ? I walk away from conversations thinking, "Did I just use the word 'doggie? For being a dork.

The Bell Times: September 2006
http://belltimes.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Friday, September 29, 2006. Last week we did an impromptu vacation with Matt and Judy and the kids. We rented a big "log cabin" in Door County, Wisconsin. We divvied up the bedrooms and shared the common spaces. It was great. (This "log cabin" was really just a nice house with a log-cabin look to it. Believe me, we weren't roughing it.). After the kids were in bed, we'd hang out a little- before we conked out ourselves. The PC. Junction. Thanks for...

The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Wednesday, May 31, 2006. Luke can untie his shoes like nobody's business. Isn't the trusty parental double-knot supposed to be impervious to child mischief? This post deserved a photo, but I couldn't catch him in action. And I didn't want to really encourage him to do it for the camera. Forgive me for this staged shot. Posted by Jim B @ 11:17 AM. Thursday, May 18, 2006. Day at the Park. The Bell Times: January 2006
http://belltimes.blogspot.com/2006_01_01_archive.html
The life and times (and strange goings on) of the Bells. Saturday, January 21, 2006. This too shall pass. Well, another cold is (hopefully, mostly) in the past. Tuesday and Wednesday were Luke's "rock bottom" days. He was miserable, crying quite a bit and pretty hard. Poor kid. Just wasn't himself. Yesterday he started coming out of it. Still had the goo coming out his nose, but more his cheery self. And today he seems pretty much back to normal, although there's a cough that's still hanging on.
