Wednesday, September 24, 2014. Toast . . . . I believe Diabetes Burnout is a real thing, and I’ve had it many times. But right now I’m not there. It’s definitely not smooth sailing, but I’m not burnt out. I guess maybe I’m lightly toasted. So what tells me I’m toasted? I’m hoping by acknowledging that I’m firmly between the red coils of the toaster, I can pop myself out before I’m fully burnt. Maybe I need to take a “Diabetes Day Off”, kind of like a Wallow Day. Any other ideas to halt the toasting?

Monday, March 14, 2011. Not Quite the Only One . . . All weekend and into today, I’ve been immersed in the updates from JDRF’s Government Day. I watched the Blogger Round Table live and was so proud of my friends who worked so hard to advocate. (If you missed the live-stream, you can still catch the archived video here. Click on the one entitled JDRF Government Day Blogger). I’ve also been following all of the action on Twitter - look for the #JDRFGovDay hashtag. That leaves me as the only surviving.

The life and times of a Type 2 diabetic. Friday, February 27, 2009. It's winter outside and colder than heck. Seems I've neglected this for quite a while. I apologize to anyone who's listening. That's why I belive there will never be a cure for diabetes. It's to profitable for the doctors and especially the drug companies to keep us uncured. Monday, January 25, 2010. Saturday, January 9, 2010. Yesterday was Day 8. Yesterday was the hardest time I've had as far as motivation to exercise. But, I did it anyway. 10 minutes stretching, a 28 minute low to moderate cardio/core workout and 10 minute cooldown. I kicked butt.I sweat my butt off and I hit moves that I haven't yet been able to hit! I felt accomplished and great after that workout! 8 days down, 23 to go! Wednesday, January 6, 2010.
