Diners, Driving, and Dais. Friday, September 25, 2009. Friday - OBX and a brief stop home in VB. We started our day in Hatteras. After a stop for coffee at the Dancing Turtle, we headed north along Route 12. We had the best lunch at a little restaurant called Top Dog Cafe. In Waves, NC. We shared a bacon and blue cheese burger and a cajun mahi sandwich. a 9.8! We enjoyed the beach air, passed the house from the movie Nights in Rodanthe. And stopped to walk on the beach near Kitty Hawk. Getting Ready to Go.

Diners, Driving, and Dais. Sunday, September 20, 2009. I'm Happy, Hope You're Happy Too. A little David Bowie on the XM Radio.). Today was Natural Bridge. Which was gorgeous. It was surveyed by George Washington and bought by Thomas Jefferson. We also stopped by Foamhenge. How fun is that? Then off to the Roanoker. For lunch. (Check out Tino's awesome parking job.) We shared a Baked Pork Chop, mac and cheese (a vegetable, gotta love the south),. In Roanoke we visited. September 21, 2009 at 6:49 PM.

After righting our course, we drove into Sevierville, TN to find the Dolly Parton statue. Legend has it that touching the statue's breast brings good luck. who are we to tempt fate?
