TRIP REPORTS. SEPTEMBER 2005. My first tour of the new season was with a Belgian family, Johan van Doosenlaenes, his wife Cristine and theit two teenage daughters, Els and Tessa. We began the tour at the Arroyo de las Cañadas, near El Rocío. As we drove along the arroyo we recorded Crested Larks, Pied. Spotted Flycatchers, numerous Hoopoes, Cattle. Little Egrets, Melodious. These were days 2, 3 and 4 of a four-day Donana/Extremadura tour with Corinna Smart from Isleworth, Brian and Dorothy Roffey from Reading, Brian Rickwood and Tony Polley from Andover and John Herbert from Southampton. We then passed alongside the Arroyo de las Cigüeñas and the Dehesa de Pilas, finding Ravens, Yellow Wagtails, Willow Warblers, Tawny Pipits, Northern Wheatears, Whinchats, Red Kites and a Little Bustard.
