Merlin's Tower: Desert Terrain
http://merlinstower1.blogspot.com/p/desert-terrain.html
Welcome to Merlin's Hordes and Warmachine blog, an archive of my gaming and painting progression. This page is a showcase of the desert terrain I built in October 2011. It was built to fit with the Warmachine and Hordes game and although generic in nature an affinity with my Protectorate of Menoth army given the fiction behind them is associated with harsh desert terrain. Details on how it was constructed, colours used and various other details can be found in the two blog entries here.

Rushby's Rants and Reviews: March 2013
http://rushbysrantsandreviews.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
Rushby's Rants and Reviews. Sunday, 17 March 2013. The Iron Man - Ted Hughes. It hasn't taken me that long to finish my latest read, partly because it is a children's story that I am looking at next term and partly because it is such an enjoyable tale. Friday, 15 March 2013. Post Captain - Patrick O'Brian. A book I remember fondly from childhood, so looking forward to reading that! Saturday, 2 March 2013. Master and Commander - Patrick O'Brian. The story itself is relatively easy to follow for the most p...

Rushby's Rants and Reviews: April 2013
http://rushbysrantsandreviews.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Rushby's Rants and Reviews. Monday, 15 April 2013. Lust, Money and Murder - Mike Wells. This book was a total change from what I have just read and was a free recommendation from people via Twitter. I thought I'd give it a go as it's not something I would 'normally' read (although I am no longer sure what that is). Wednesday, 10 April 2013. HMS Surprise - Patrick O'Brian. I am going to take a break form the series however, I don't want to have too much of a good thing! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Laurann...

Rushby's Rants and Reviews: May 2013
http://rushbysrantsandreviews.blogspot.com/2013_05_01_archive.html
Rushby's Rants and Reviews. Wednesday, 29 May 2013. Star Trek Into Darkness - JJ Abrams and Co. To say I was apprehensive about going to see this film is an understatement. I love Star Trek. I have loved Star Trek. The first Star Trek. Film by Abrams was phenomenal but the thought of someone messing about with my all time favourite film made me squirm a bit inside. And you know what? Tuesday, 28 May 2013. The Gunslinger (again) - Stephen King. At the end, which has just made me want to read on. I wil...

Not sure about the blogger app as yet but we shall see how that goes. All in all, I enjoyed reading the novel and shall be following the author to see if she writes and more. It will be interesting to see where she takes this good start. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Giving Up Perfection - the Writer's Task. Ethere...

Rushby's Rants and Reviews: Follow the Stone (An Emmett Love Western) - John Locke
http://rushbysrantsandreviews.blogspot.com/2013/10/follow-stone-emmett-love-western-john.html
Rushby's Rants and Reviews. Wednesday, 2 October 2013. Follow the Stone (An Emmett Love Western) - John Locke. I have once again strayed into the realms of the Western for entertainment dear readers, this time from a recommendation by a friend who said this book was an easy read and even better, it was free. Free being the magical word in this time of austerity I decided to take her up on the offer and give it a go. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Merlin's Tower: More X-Wing
http://merlinstower1.blogspot.com/2013/11/more-x-wing.html
Welcome to Merlin's Hordes and Warmachine blog, an archive of my gaming and painting progression. Monday, 4 November 2013. In the last article I posted a few photos of my retouched X-Wing minis. The extra paintwork was just a few minutes work, but enough to improve the models and make them a little more unique. Below are a couple of snaps of the missing ships I mentioned:. A buddy of mine had found some cool Falcon mods on eBay and figured I should have a go, after a little research on Wookiepedia. Once ...

Merlin's Tower: October 2013
http://merlinstower1.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
Welcome to Merlin's Hordes and Warmachine blog, an archive of my gaming and painting progression. Wednesday, 23 October 2013. ALong time ago in a galaxy far, far away. Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures (by Fantasy Flight Games) Game repaints. The game is pretty good, quite tactical in fact, I've not played it a lot, but just started again recently, the dog fighting style of game is quite cinematic and if you like Star Wars then you'll love this! Two Firespray's Slave 1 in correct colours on left! For some unkn...

Rushby's Rants and Reviews: December 2013
http://rushbysrantsandreviews.blogspot.com/2013_12_01_archive.html
Rushby's Rants and Reviews. Tuesday, 10 December 2013. Mistborn: The Final Empire - Brandon Sanderson. I managed to finish a book in the five minutes a day I now get to read. That's the five minutes between getting into bed and passing out exhausted every night. My training course is intense and is keeping my very busy. I'm loving what I do though so nothing to fear there. Onwards to Sanderson's novel then. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Lust, Madness, Cruelty, Deception; but enough about me. Brief Summary ...

Merlin's Tower: January 2013
http://merlinstower1.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Welcome to Merlin's Hordes and Warmachine blog, an archive of my gaming and painting progression. Friday, 25 January 2013. It has been a while since my last blog entry, though people who know me know that I’ve been having a really tough time health-wise lately and to be honest still aren’t right, though on a positive note I’ve been feeling somewhat better of late and well enough to paint so I’ve photographed a few of my latest bits and pieces:. Feora, Priestess of the Flame. Regards painting Feora1, tech...
