USAMexico2008 - 09: Copper Canyon
http://usamexico2008-09.blogspot.com/2009/02/copper-canyon.html
Tuesday, February 17, 2009. Buenos Dias Everyone; Copper Canyon Pics. I’m going to start this with a little bit about this caravan. We’re 19 rigs with assorted busses, 5th wheel trailers, c-class and 1 small Cassita. We’re couples and 1 single fella. Eight rigs are Canadian and 11 are American. We all seem to get along and happy hours are always a success. If there’s a party to be had this group is in! From Chihuahua we drove to Creel. The following day we headed off to Divisidero. The Copper Canyon.

Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Update #11 Mexico Border to Moab. Our trip to the border was uneventful and the border crossing painless. We were in Tucson in good time and had no problem. For 3 days to visit Jerry and Sheri who have bought a home here. We spent the time visiting, bike riding and drinking green beer. Jerry and Sheri have a beautiful home and much more tastefully decorated than the show homes. They were over the top. From here we drove to Holbrook, Arizon. This highway goes through the Salt.

Friday, January 16, 2009. Update #5 Tucson to Presidio. Our next stop is Davis Mountains State Park. We spent our time here doing an interpretive hike, walking the trails around the campground and going to the McDonald observatory. The Indian Lodge was built in 1930 by the CCC and was luxury accommodation for the time. It’s terraced onto a hill so has great views of the valley below. The McDonald Observatory. We stopped in at Lajitas and Terlingua Ghost Town. Posted by Drew and Donna. Maps of Our Travels.

Saturday, March 7, 2009. Update #10 Mazatlan to Arizona. Buenos Dias Everybody;. From Mazatlan we travelled to Los Glorias, a beach community west of Guasave. The detour in Los Glorias is still the same as last year. Apparently the improvements to the 4 lane divided road have been on going for about 7 years. The campground is right on the beach and some improvements have been made to it. Then it was off to Alamos. Finally we were on our way to San Carlos. Which is our last stop on. Tomorrow we are planni...

Tucson 2009 to 2010. Wednesday, February 10, 2010. The park has filled up although it’s not full. At least we have neighbours now. In fact for you folks on LGR, I think we’ve found LGR south. We’re starting to get a reputation for a party street. Happy hour is everyday from 4 to 6. Even with all the exercise, we don’t seem to be losing any weight! I went to a quilt show with the Voyager Quilt Guild . some lovely Quilts! Posted by Drew and Donna. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Trip Map and Links.
