DrosophiLab - a freeware genetics simulator. DrosophiLab is a freeware program for Microsoft Windows which lets you simulate the genetics of fruit flies, Drosophila melanogaster. You use the supplied Chromosome Editor to create fruit flies with complete control over their genotype. You can then import the flies into the program and derive new generations from them. All individual flies can be examined and rotated in full 3D. Or by donating some money.

Yesterday I was out shopping and a weird thought entered my mind; what must it be like to come to the UK as an asylum seeker from Afghanistan and walk through these extravagant departmental stores? I picked Afghanistan at random but it could be any poor, deprived, war-torn country. The sheer number of smells and focus lights that one comes across when walking thorough the makeup section is bewildering! How did we get here? I don’t know, I am merely asking.
