Six Saturdays and a Sunday. Work's over, now it's time to play! I’ve finally got around to updating this info, and it’s current as of the Fall of 2013. We said at the time we were embarking on a time of travel and discovery. I know, sounds cheesy, but we’re just planning on seeing as much as we can and doing as much as we like as quickly as possible. Life is short, and we’re going to enjoy it as much as we possibly can. Six Saturdays and a Sunday. Work's over, now it's time to play! For whatever reason, inserting pictures is easier with this critter on top, so get used to the duck. Just a spot we saw on our way back from the Acadian Heritage Center. Our first glimpse of the Gulf of St Lawrence from an observation tower on Ile D'Orleans. You can see 70km from this vantage point. The view from the top of Montmorency Falls. That's the bridge to Ile D'Orleans with the island in the background. Place Jacques Cartier. Thi...

Six Saturdays and a Sunday. Work's over, now it's time to play! Well, That Was a Fun Week. He’s Got Me There. August 10, 2015. We’ve had a new truck for the last 2 years, and one of the features it has is a rear seat DVD display screen. I’ve never used it, or even put batteries in the wireless headsets, as it’s just something that came with the truck that we figure we’ll never use. Payton: Grandpa, what are the buttons high up on the console of your truck? This entry was posted in Uncategorized. August 1...

Six Saturdays and a Sunday. Work's over, now it's time to play! How Did This Turn Into Such A Project? Well, That Was a Fun Week →. August 3, 2015. After installing some hardwood flooring in our closet last year we ended up with a small amount of wood left, and I figured it would be enough to rebuild the stairs. And it was enough, just. I ended up with very little wood left over, and no pieces big enough that I could have used them if I’d messed something up. We’ve been visited by the local deer a couple...

Six Saturdays and a Sunday. Work's over, now it's time to play! Newer posts →. September 14, 2016. With all the pears and apples we now have, we’ve been searching for different ways to preserve them. That has included a batch of Cranberry Pear Chutney, as well as Pear sauce. The Chutney is a variant of the Peach Chutney we canned last year, but instead of using raisins dried Cranberries are the secret ingredient. It has to sit for a month, but should be pretty good. Our next stop was at Nakusp, a small t...
