The Syring Family Blog. Wednesday, July 25, 2007. Nephews and Nieces Weekend. We have a fun week (and weekend)planned with lots of family time. Mike is driving me up to Amherst this afternoon, where we'll play with the puppies for a while then Mike will head back to Milwaukee and I will head up to Hudson. The Syring Family Blog. Monday, March 18, 2013. All our kids are home! So we are finally getting settled in with our giant family of 5…:) Actually it hasn't been that much of a struggle. The girls are on a pretty solid, regular schedule already so we can plan things pretty easily without too much trouble. To be honest, they could be nightmares and we’d still love having them home rather than the trips to the NICU! We took the family to a spring training game last weekend (Brewers of course! June 4th, 2001.

The Syring Family Blog. Thursday, August 30, 2007. Mara and I heard of a deal where Thousand Hills State Park was giving half priced canoe rentals if you were there before Noon. We figured we'd fight the Sunday crowds and try it out. Turns out, since we live in the heart of the bible belt, no one goes on the lake before mid-afternoon. We pretty much had the 573 acre lake to ourselves! We canoed for about 2.5 hours, and it cost us about $10 with sodas! 2 poor students can't ask for much more than that!
