O Pistachio: tx

February 28, 2010. I've discovered something about food blogs and graduate school: they're often mutually exclusive. This semester has been manic, but I took today off and spent it in lovely Georgetown, Texas, just north of Austin, meeting a friend's horses, doing some low-level antiquing, eating hamburgers and drinking chocolate shakes at the fabulous Monument Cafe. Oh that stately mustangy face is such a regal picture! Omg heaven. and sure to prevent a hangover the next day.). March 1, 2010 at 12:14 PM.

Spets och snor: Smycket
http://spetsochsnor.blogspot.com/2009/10/smycket.html
Söndag 4 oktober 2009. Nog snackat om cancer. Ni måste bara få se mitt nya smycke. Smycket står i matrummet - en bondrokoko-soffa som jag köpte på Susannes. Loppis i somras.

a sofa in the kitchen: thanksgiving two-thousdand-eleven
http://asofainthekitchen.blogspot.com/2011/11/thanksgiving-two-thousdand-eleven.html
Thursday, November 24, 2011. This year marked the first thanksgiving my dear husband and I spent as a married couple. We enjoyed copious amounts of food, wine, and delightful company. This wonderful day has me giddy for the holiday season, that as of today, has officially arrived. Hoping your day has been a wonderful one! Posted by miss mallory opel. Im so jealous of the view out of your window (and all of that yummy food, which goes without saying). With the fork, knife and spoon print - Is it textile?

Wednesday, August 24, 2011. In The Making : Caramelized Onion Mac and Cheese. Perfection. Extra gooey sauce poured over perfectly al dente noodles, tossed with a large vat of caramelized onion and slow roasted salty bacon. My fork and I went a little nuts. But boy, was it worth the full belly ache and weight gain! Caramelized Onion and Bacon. 6 slices of the best bacon you can get your hands on. 1 cup smoked gouda. 1 cup sharp cheddar. 1/2 cup parmesan/ramano/or pecorino. 4 cups warm milk.

Friday, April 29, 2011. Whip It Good : Whipped Cream Cake. Easter, not before. In fact, I whipped this cake up, start to finish, in less than 40 minutes. A cake worthy of baking spring, summer, fall or winter. This cake is a recipe of Rose Levy Beranbaum's from the book. Sure it looks like a bundt cake, but it's better. No butter here, can you imagine? A cake without butter? Rose's Whipped Cream Cake. 2 1/4 Cups Cake Flour or 2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted. 2 teaspoons Baking powder. Let the cake cool ...

Nordljus: Basque Snaps

A Taste of Yellow (and A Little Bit of Orange). To the west – there are always interesting places to visit, but time is always an issue, as it takes a long time to cross Europe by road. After my wonderful trip to Madrid and southern Spain. Last summer I’ve been wanting to go back to see all the friends I made, but all we could squeeze in was just over a week and there was no way to make it that far. So, as a compromise we decided to head to northern Spain, or more specifically the Basque country. We enjo...

Sweet Sweezers: Roqulette Anyone?
http://sweetsweezers.blogspot.com/2010/01/roqulette-anyone.html
Just like most folks, I had no clue what a Roqulette was. Well, how can you go wrong with a half wheel of expensive cheese, an assortment of goodies to dip into the cheese and great friends to share it with? Our friends Liz and Witt put together this amazing dinner for New Years. Here's my lovely man about to dive into his meal. I'm just hanging out with a glass of wine while the cheese is melting.mmmm. Happy New Year to all! Feel free to comment about the post you just read! View my complete profile.
