Eric In Kingston

Wednesday, September 29, 2004. Laughs, Drinks and Missed Dragon Boats. Once again, I find myself bored at work with nothing better to do than write about what I did over the weekend. Here begins another chapter of my novel. At the top of our lungs, which precipitated her to ask us a series of questions. Galvin managed to make a complete ass out of us all (but mainly himself), which was wonderful! Not only does it have some food scenes that would make anyones mouth water, but it is a very good movie. ...

Eric In Kingston: "What's Going On"

http://ericinkingston.blogspot.com/2004/09/whats-going-on.html

Thursday, September 23, 2004. The title of this blog happens to be the title of a Marvin Gaye song.hence the quotation marks). First and foremost, I would like to say that I FINALLY HAVE PICTURES! To get to my picture site, simply follow this Link:. But if the captions don't answer any questions that you might have about the picture, send me an E-mail and I will clarify. Jeff (a.k.a. Batman) and his friend Jameel (spelling? The Sunday of that weekend was the biggest concert Kingston has ever seen: The Tr...

Eric In Kingston: The New Roomate

http://ericinkingston.blogspot.com/2004/07/new-roomate.html

Sunday, July 04, 2004. As you may have deduced if you've been reading my previous posts (surprisingly there are some people who actually schedule time out of their busy days to come read my novel/website! With Samad moved out of our house, there was a void in the York Street Party House that needed to be filled. Nicknames need to be made! As for the prospect of him ruining the York House party atmosphere? But I'm going to try to avoid going into detail on every party night as it would make my site even l...

Eric In Kingston: June 2004

http://ericinkingston.blogspot.com/2004_06_01_archive.html

Sunday, June 27, 2004. Of Kingston Drivers and Free Lunches. I realize that lots of my postings have been ridiculously long, so here's a (relatively) short one. What the hell could they possibly be in a rush to do in Kingston? I'm not even sure why so many people in Kingston drive.you can get to almost anywhere in the city by walking! Well, there's the rant of the day for me.now for something more positive. Every time there is a meeting or conference, they have food catered to them, and it's good food!

Eric In Kingston: Of Potlucks, Bison and Missed Adventures

http://ericinkingston.blogspot.com/2004/07/of-potlucks-bison-and-missed.html

Friday, July 16, 2004. Of Potlucks, Bison and Missed Adventures. It's been a little while since my last post.I'm trying to make these posts shorter and less frequent, but unfortunately this one requires a bit of background for, so I can't make it too short. Anyways, so last weekend I flew to Edmonton for a family reunion of about 80 people. Flying out of the Kingston airport is quite entertaining: their only waiting room holds an epic 50 people! Needless to say, we made excellent use of this proximity!

A mishmash of travel journal, recipe book, and collection of thoughts and observations. 1 Tentative Foray into the Blogosphere. I had been thinking about starting a blog for quite some time, but was going to postpone writing until September. September? But, I digress. I have been inspired! A mishmash of travel journal, recipe book, and collection of thoughts and observations. 3 I Hope I'm Not Allergic to Cheese. Now, being a person with a gluttonous zeal for almost all things edible, this was a very alarming bodily response. A horrible thought crossed my mind: What if I'm allergic to cheese! Side note: I know nations such as France and Italy share my enthusiasm for cheese, but I was a little suprised to see the Swiss are up there in terms of cheese consumption. View my complete profile.

http://karone.blogspot.com/2006/06/2-drinking-is-bad.html

A mishmash of travel journal, recipe book, and collection of thoughts and observations. 2 Drinking is Bad! Yes Under British Columbia's liquor laws, even though I didn't serve them drinks, I should have identified that they were intoxicated and ensured that they got home safely. The guy and girl are old enough to reason - they made it into a bar right? They knew before taking that first sip of beer that it would most likely lead to drunkeness. I'm not assuming anything about their ability. On a side note...

http://karone.blogspot.com/2006/07/7-july-5-2006-off-to-serbia.html

A mishmash of travel journal, recipe book, and collection of thoughts and observations. 7 July 5, 2006 Off to Serbia. We had a very early start to our day, somewhat difficult since we were still jetlagged and hadn’t been able to sleep more than a few hours from the heat. I suppose we could’ve slept longer since our flight was an hour late, but we filled the time having a couple breakfast beers. When we arrived at Marko’s house in Belgrade we were met with a pleasant surprise: Crystal and Magesh! After so...

A mishmash of travel journal, recipe book, and collection of thoughts and observations. 6 July 4, 2006 First Day in London. After waking up from our nap on the plane we were informed that everything was going as planned, and we would arrive in LHR (Heathrow) on time at 11:00am. Of course we didn’t get off the plane until just after 1:00pm two hours later! Eventually, they fixed the guide and we entered London Heathrow Terminal 4. On our way to the pub, we passed a busy food stand selling pasties . Th...

Karone: 5. The Perfect Bread

http://karone.blogspot.com/2006/06/5-perfect-bread.html

A mishmash of travel journal, recipe book, and collection of thoughts and observations. 5 The Perfect Bread. I love good bread. It's delicious on it's own, with butter and especially with cheese (almost any variety of cheese will do for me). But, good bread is expensive where I live and supermarket CBP. Bread is unpalatable so I recently started baking my own. The recipe below is from Dan's dad Bill, who gave me a pizza stone and showed me how to make bread. 3 cups all purpose flour. 1 tbsp olive oil.

Karone: 4. Tasty Dream

http://karone.blogspot.com/2006/06/4-tasty-dream.html

A mishmash of travel journal, recipe book, and collection of thoughts and observations. I had a most wonderful dream following a not-so-wonderful evening last night. However, I did head home earlier than the rest in our company and promptly stumbled into bed. It was shortly thereafter that I dreamt. My boyfriend, upon coming home had decided to feed me feta while I slept! Perhaps he felt that I needed a little cheering up. Posted by Karone @ 6/14/2006 03:12:00 PM. View my complete profile.

Stories from South Korea | a record of my time on the other side of the world

Stories from South Korea. A record of my time on the other side of the world. Life in south korea. Man Sells Rotisserie Chicken. After buying that one chicken, I’ve since said hello to him, in Korean, which is by no means difficult, as well as giving an appropriately slight bow, which I no longer find strange, every time I pass by him and his small truck. It crossed my mind tonight that it would be nice to have a conversation with him, however brief it might end up being. These questions and more…. Let&#...
