Erin Green Racing: October 2013
http://eringreenracing.blogspot.com/2013_10_01_archive.html
What to expect: triathlon, humor, food, fun. Tuesday, October 8, 2013. It has been over 2 months since I've purged my brain of all randomness involving triathlon and my life. I guess that's an indication of a couple things: a) I needed a bit of a breather from all of the racing hullabaloo, and b) life has kept me busier than a one-armed wallpaper hanger. Let's have a quick run-through of what's been going down in my little world:. Shortly following XTERRA Les Bois. Miles and miles of this! For taking the...

What to expect: triathlon, humor, food, fun. Monday, May 27, 2013. Yeah, yeah, I realize it should be "Pole, Pedal. Paddle" but this is a test to see if my buddy Tom Lloyd. Reads my blog. If you'd like a little background on this silly misspelling, check out my uber blonde moment in my Facebook thread from May 17th. I have no shame. Mt Bachelor at the start.can't tell but it was snowing pretty good. Team "Jalapeno Business" with my buddy Bryan Escobedo. Race swag. Good for coffee or. It has been a week s...

What to expect: triathlon, humor, food, fun. Friday, June 13, 2014. A different kind of pain. Triathletes are no strangers to discomfort. It comes in many forms like training-related muscle soreness, blisters and chafing or perhaps the grueling demand of threshold intervals in the dead of winter before dawn (no hard feelings, Flanny. It seems that pushing oneself outside of the typical peaceful realm of everyday life is part of the appeal of such athletic endeavors. Where’d the sunshine go? With my ankle...
Erin Green Racing: July 2013

What to expect: triathlon, humor, food, fun. Wednesday, July 31, 2013. Gettin' Dirty- XTERRA Les Bois. A blast from the past: biking through Utah in 2005. Feeling bummed about a lackluster result at Lake Stevens and desperately needing a breath of fresh air in the tri department, I made a very logical decision: sign up for XTERRA Les Bois. To shake things up a bit. I borrowed a friend's Stumpjumper and refreshed my skills with a couple pre-rides with MFMG. At the helm, this was sure to be a premier event.

Rode to happiness: Progress not perfection
http://rodetohappiness.blogspot.com/2014/02/progress-not-perfection.html
My journey on the road (literally) to success. Over the past month or so, I have been hit hard with a big heaping pile of my own medicine. Isn't it funny how that happens? Here's the thing, I, like most of you, am much better at giving advise than I am at listening to it. Ok, no worries, I've got this * deep breath*. Despite all my imperfections and mistakes, I choose to love myself anyway. To love myself anyway. Love myself. Since February is the month of "love", what better time an exercise in just that.
Rode to happiness: Beyond limitations
http://rodetohappiness.blogspot.com/2014/04/beyond-limitations.html
My journey on the road (literally) to success. Do you ever have days when all of a sudden something clicks? When you feel like you've been running upstream, and then suddenly the current changes direction? When you've been trying to make sense of that crazy painting and in the blink of an eye, you see an image clear as day? I love having those moments of clarity. Or, I just forgot a snack, and I'll be home in 30 minutes, probably not the end of the world. For weeks I have been carrying on like this, ...

My journey on the road (literally) to success. All week I thought on this blog, inspired to write something other than my thought life. I came up with some really great topics! As I sat down to write, I closed my eyes to clear my head. Opened my eyes, and let my intuition write take over and write what the topic should be. Great Dear instincts, thank you for never giving me an easy out. First, before answering WHY, do we need to define the WHAT? This one took me a while. WHY do I do what I do? Oh, also, ...

My journey on the road (literally) to success. Let me (re)introduce myself. This year is a big year for me! I'll be turning pro, and for the first time, I will have a team of my own! This is an introduction of me and how my life ties in with CMI. The newest member of my team! Who is Sarah Barkley? Just like with most things in life, it’s all a matter of perspective. Perspective is something I seek quite a lot as a recovering perfectionist. If you’re wondering what "pro" means, you’re not alon...On my tea...

My journey on the road (literally) to success. This past week, I was looking forward to utilizing some of my frustration to fuel some really good training. BUT, it's a recovery week for me.so instead I had to actually deal with my emotions - ugh! What better way than to get outside and play! Did I mention a ton of organizing.clothes by color? Oh, and to finish it off, the view at family dinner! Links to this post. Sometimes, in life, things go according to plan. Or, so I've heard! Is it ever plan A?

My journey on the road (literally) to success. Well, this is unexpected. My next blog post was all planned out, to share with you the tools I used over the past year to get my Positive Mental Attitude in check. But, I feel compelled to share a few thoughts that have been on the front of my mind for the past week. There is no question that Amy lived an exemplary life, admirably and unapologetically pursuing her dreams and appreciating and loving every minute of it. Funny thing is, it seems the difference ...

My journey on the road (literally) to success. The most fun I've had being HOT and DIRTY. Well, almost. It's been over a full week since racing Wildflower Triathlon, so I thought I'd walk down memory lane for a few. Join me? Leading up to the race, I was feeling strangely pulled together. You know that feeling like, what the HELL am I forgetting because this seems too easy! 10 hours later, I woke up feeling like myself again - except every time I tried to eat. UGH! I still don't understand how it can be ...

My journey on the road (literally) to success. When life hands you peaches. First of all, if life hands you peaches, you already know you're one up on the lemons. Which brings me to the second thing you should be grateful for, Peach jalapeño margaritas! Seriously. You can thank me later. If life hasn't dropped a box of peaches on your door step, find some. Why peaches, you ask? Do I have enough sugar? But, have you ever thought that maybe, just MAYBE, it wasn't lemons to start with? Links to this post.

My journey on the road (literally) to success. Some of you may have heard, nearly 3 weeks ago, I raced in Vegas (Henderson) at the Ironman 70.3 World Championships. The race itself was great, but more remarkable than the way I raced physically was my mental and emotional preparation and race day execution. As you may have guessed, yes, that is the segue into my non-traditional race report. Where was I.to set the stage for this story, lets rewind to 1 year ago at this race. This quote saw me through a lot:.

Life viewed through a lens. Backpacking may be my all time favorite summer activity. Lately I've been thinking about where I want to go this summer. My Heart is Beeping in Africa
My Heart is Beeping in Africa. Monday, October 18, 2010. I Saw the Rains Down in Africa. The following is a recap on my last few weeks in Rwanda and the first few days here in northern Uganda. It's QUITE long, I'll try to keep posts shorter and more frequent, but power is down quite oftern so I'll try my best. Peace and Love! Where are we, what the hell is going on? Some stories of us, Greg and Erin, and our growing family. Thursday, August 22, 2013. Our son Brandon decided to come 9 days early! I totally wasn't expecting that. I had asked my doctor what the likelihood of me delivering late was and he said that 80% of first time moms deliver past their due date. Since I figured I'd be like most first time moms, I was super surprised when my water broke the evening of Aug 11. I thought, "what the! And ran to the bathroom. Sure enough my water broke! Looking back on t...
