Are You My Reader? Character building has been my thing for decades. Along with that came the utter joy of creating just the right world for them to inhabit. Admittedly, I used to go overboard with this far too early in the process. I’d create multiple notebooks of cultures, history and lore, full timelines, props, magic or science systems, cities, languages (complete with custom fonts), clothing styles, and maps.
