Patterson Place: March 2013
http://thepattersonhomeplace.blogspot.com/2013_03_01_archive.html
March 11, 2013. Sweet baby Emma is already 9 months old! How in the world can this be? It still seems like I should have a newborn in my nursery. Emma's main mode of transportation these days is rolling around and around. She's quite the roley-poley and I love it. She can't quite crawl yet, but I'm 100% ok with that. No sense rushing time. She'll be getting married before I know it! This little girl l-o-v-e-s her pacifier! We love you, sweet girl! Please excuse the long absence! Emma and I are so proud o...

Patterson Place: New Coats of Paint vol.3
http://thepattersonhomeplace.blogspot.com/2014/10/new-coats-of-paint-vol3.html
October 1, 2014. New Coats of Paint vol.3. Green Shutters to Black Shutters. The shutters on our house were dark green to match the door. When I painted the door red and the metal on the glass door black, I decided the shutters needed a coat of paint too. I used Rust-o-leum Satin Black spray paint. It was a cinch! Can you believe it? I still need to put the shutters back up on the upstairs windows, but as that seems a little treacherous, I'll wait until we can use a giant ladder outside.

May 20, 2013. Sweet Emma is 11 months old! This post comes a little late because life at Patterson Place has been a bit hectic! But, our darling girl is 11 months old. She has the kindest, most generous, loving heart in the world! Emma loves to share. She is in a great phase where she is oh so happy to share her beloved puffs snacks, pacifier, or toys. Emma also loves to be shared with- so if you see her and she shares with you, she'll love receiving back her slobbery pacifier. We will close on our new h...

Scribbled Notes: Haitian Proverbs
http://gossettfrontporch.blogspot.com/2012/05/haitian-proverbs.html
Notes taken from the field of Life. Wednesday, May 23, 2012. Q: What do you do when it rains? A: We stand up. The area the children had to play was a clearing of dirt just behind the house. The house had cut outs for windows and doors, but no actual door were there. We were told this is quite common for a concrete structure, and that these children were lucky to be on concrete and not a dirt floor. While going over the animals, the translator would have me make an animal noise and ask the children to res...

Patterson Place: February 2014
http://thepattersonhomeplace.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
February 28, 2014. This week has been extra busy for me and Emma. Usually we have a few obligations here and there but this week it has been crazy! And we feel so blessed! On Thursday we went to tour a local Mother's Day Out. And it was so so fun! Here's Emma right before we went in. After our wonderful tour we went to the Brentwood Library for a play group with some families from our church. I was in total awe. Their children's library is absolutely beautiful! February 25, 2014. I love getting to see my...

May 23, 2014. The advent of warmer weather around the South has brought with it household repair season at Patterson Place. There have been projects we've been wanting to do since we moved in but we felt it was good to live in our new home for awhile to decide what order we'd like to do our projects. Emma playing last fall by the beautiful maple tree. We are sad to lose such a gorgeous gem but so grateful for the extra sunshine on our lawn to grow some grass! Sweet girl the day the tree came down. (T...

June 26, 2013. PS Now Emma crawls everywhere and pulls up on everything. She still isn't walking yet- which is probably another one of these kinds of blessings because I still haven't gotten those baby gates up! The New Patterson Place. As my readers know, we've recently moved to Nashville. Thus my recent hiatus from blogging! We are doing lots of projects around the house, so I'll try to blog about some of those things. Painting a bathroom- no problem right? Welcome to the New Patterson Place! Emma at C...
