Build a forced air composting system | Two Fat Nags
https://twofatnags.wordpress.com/2011/08/08/build-a-forced-air-composting-system
Just another WordPress.com site. Build a forced air composting system. August 8, 2011. Forced air composting system. This is what I’ve been up to for the past month! Like most horse owners I have very little room to store horse manure. I wanted to compost it to spread on my pastures or garden so it didn’t just go to waste. I love the idea of composting but it takes FOREVER! I sure don’t but again I also dont have the space required to store nor the equipment to maintain it. I made it on to the main page!

Get the FenceGuy out to repair the loose wire and fix the electric fence. Find bedding and get delivered. Set up hay scale. Conne...

Hawk Hill Farm Happenings: April 2013
http://hawkhillfarm.blogspot.com/2013_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 3, 2013. Most of us have heard the story of the shoe maker's kids who ended up going barefoot. Well, it turns out that Bob and I are the shoe maker's kids when it comes to monitoring our nutrition. Because of the region where we live, that is eastern Ontario, where the soil is deficient in some of these minerals, not surprisingly our hay is deficient in copper and zinc and totally lacking in selenium. So we carefully supplement for these deficiencies. And what about excess? If our soil m...
