Finding Joy in Florida. Searching the Past, Present, and In Between the Lines. To Bedford Falls, with love. As April dawns, the tale of Palmetto Pete returns →. In the pines of Florida, Christmas everlasting. December 25, 2013. The perpetual peace garden at Christmas, December 2013. We know the story’s beginning thanks to Capt. Nathan S. Jarvis, a U.S. Army surgeon who kept a journal about his war adventures. The soldiers built a stockade made of upright 18-foot pine logs, sharpened at the top, and named...

Finding Joy in Florida. Searching the Past, Present, and In Between the Lines. Tag Archives: american history. In the pines of Florida, Christmas everlasting. December 25, 2013. The perpetual peace garden at Christmas, December 2013. Way back during the Seminole Wars, a peaceful place in the Central Florida pines became Christmas, every day. Long-ago soldiers named it in 1837, but we owe its role as a North Pole of the South to the history and work of the Tucker family. The only means of travel was by ox...

http://footballfoodandfiction.blogspot.com/2014_04_01_archive.html
Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Tomorrow is May 1 - this year is flying by! I always picture young girls in white dresses weaving ribbons around a Maypole to celebrate May Day. I don't believe I've ever seen it in person, but it sets a tone for carefree days of summer waiting just ahead. I've been working on a dark mystery short story, but I wanted to post something more in keeping with May Day. This is from my mystery series featuring fairies. I hope you like it. Finding Joy In All You Are
Finding Joy In All You Are. For the first seven weeks of Moms and More we will be talking about JOY! The challenge for us all is to find joy in the roles we assume everyday: me, wife, mother, friend, family. Join in the dialogue and tell us how you experience joy! Monday, October 13, 2008. What I am suggesting is that we a...

Fighting for joy in the darkness of depression. Fighting the black dog. As hard as everything seems now, remember that this is the opportunity of a lifetime. This is our chance to reinvent ourselves. We have survived the bullshit of the past and we’ve made a clean break from it! 8220;What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly.” -Richard Bach. Finding Joy in Each Adventure. Tuesday, September 8, 2015. Taking time for nothing. Well, not really nothing. I might read a book (just for fun), drink some chai tea, call a friend just to say hi, play with the pups, brush the horses and laugh at the silly goat. Finding Joy in My Journey
Finding Joy in My Journey. Tuesday, January 17, 2012. For quite awhile my children believed that a mommy went to the dentist to have a baby. Makes sense if you think about it from their perspective: food goes in your belly; it gets there through your mouth. If you throw up food, that comes out your mouth. So of course a baby in your belly has to come out of your mouth. What kind of doctor looks in your mouth? A dentist. See? My belly, as is illustrated by our after-dinner conversation. E: Oh But hooow.
