Blog about my cooking. Monday, 31 December 2007. I don't really know what to call this recipe as its a bit of a mish mash of flavours that I think go well together. Its simply a roast lamb dish. 1/2 shoulder of lamb. 3 cloves of garlic. 1/2 pint of boiling water. Potatoes (as many as you want for each portion). 2 tbs cumin powder. 1 tbs coriander powder. 1 tbs turmeric powder. Good handful of parsley. Zest and juice of a lemon. Cover the whole tin in foil and place into a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees C.

Blog about my cooking. Sunday, 30 March 2008. This is a warm and tasty dish that is great soul warming food with plenty of flavour. 2 cloves of garlic. 2 tablespoons of olive oil. 3 sticks of celery. A small handfull of French beans. Tin of butter beans. Sprig of fresh thyme. Make sure everything gets a good coating of oil and heats through. Blog about my cooking. Sunday, 31 August 2008. Our village has a market on a Wednesday and when time permits in the morning before going to work Andrew likes to go. The fish stall comes from Fleetwood with that days fresh catch so its really as fresh as it gets. The cod, sweetcorn, spinach and seasoning were mixed together in the white sauce and the the mashed potato was the layered on top with breadcrumbs spinkled on top. This is a fantastic, healthy dinner which goes marvelously with a glass of sauvignon blanc. It is really easy to pull together and is a nice taste to zing up winter. Juice of half a lemon. Tin of Cannellini Beans. 2 sprigs of fresh rosemary. 3 cloves of garlic. Juices of half a lemon. 3 chopped spring onions. A finely chopped shallot. 2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar.

Blog about my cooking. Sunday, 28 October 2007. Using up the rest of the Vegetable Ragu. I used it to top some seasoned salmon and mixed with fresh parsley and a chopped clove of garlic. I baked in an oven for 20 mins - delish! Place in a roasting dish 9 cherry tomatoes, half a courgette, a sliced green pepper and a sliced yellow pepper, half a winter squash (chopped into chunks) and 6 mushrooms. Coat in olive oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast for 40 mins. Blitz with a hand blender until a pulp.

Anyway - first job was to plant up the vegetable patch (we moved in at the start of June so were probably a bit late for the growing season but spinach and salad should do ok). We have some really nice new neighbours and Frank from across the road dropped off some salad leaves and some lettuce for me to plant so fittingly (despite having a lovely range cooker at my disposal - and gas! The first post is dedicated to the humble salad. 1 ball of buffalo mozzarella.
