Dive south of Pulley Ridge, our deepest dive to date (825 meters), we observed a high amount of cross-phyla biodiversity and beauty (especially sponges, fishes, crustaceans, tunicates, bryozoans). At a depth of 790 m, we documented and collected a species of the carnivorous demosponge genus. Which is either a new species or one that has only recently been observed in the Gulf of Mexico.
