One Woman's Story of Eating and Living in Toronto. Saturday, April 30, 2011. Betty Draper's "Gazpacho from Spain". So even though it could be months until I hear from Food Network about my "casting opportunity", I figured I might as well continue testing the various recipes I had in mind for my menu. I did tell you that I auditioned for a TV show on Food right? Maybe not exactly, but oh well.I'll tell you about it another time.just waiting to hear now. Could be months, but a girl has to eat! Roughly chop...

One Woman's Story of Eating and Living in Toronto. Sunday, October 31, 2010. I charge a lot for anything black. Grapes, olives, blackcurrants. People like to remind themselves of death. Eating black food is like consuming death, like saying, "Death, I'm eating you." Black truffles are the most expensive. And caviar. Death and birth. The end and the beginning. Don't you think it's appropriate that the most expensive items are black? The Cook at Le Hollandais. The Cook The Thief His Wife and Her Lover (1989).

November 3rd, 2012 by Brent. For my wife’s birthday this year I decided to make her a nice homemade pasta dinner. Experimenting years before with Alfredo and diced tomatoes I thought it would be fun to try to make a creamy, garlicy Alfredo pasta again but with chicken mixed in the sauce… I came out hella good. Rotisserie Chicken ( 2 cups of any precooked chicken breast). Pint of heavy whipping cream. 3 cups of parmesan cheese. 2 cloves of garlic minced. 1 stick of butter. 15oz can of diced tomatoes.

Although, when I said, "Do you know what would make this better? At the table, Nick's first answer was "Bacon! Next time, try sauteing a couple strips of bacon before the garlic and corn, use the bacon fat to cook the rest, and then crumble the bacon on top of the finished dish. 2 tbsp olive oil. 4 cloves garlic, minced.
