Friends of the Moor | Knutsford’s Greenflag Park – Working for The Moor
In the summer of 2017 we undertook a survey to get ideas and a steer for our work on the Moor. Welcome to the Moor. This is an open space for public recreation and has been since 1907 when Lord Egerton sold it to the then Urban District Council. It’s 5.5 acres contains footpaths, a play area, picnic area, a rustic shelter, cycle parking, seating, trees and borders the privately owned Moor Pool with its various birdlife. Show and Tell- our favorite part of the meetings. One quilt from each meeting is chosen to be displayed in The Quilt Loft for the month. I’m on vacationie this month. My goal was to get out of the heat of SoCal and head up to Portland. Portland is kind of a funky city. I really wanted to visit Pine Needle, the shop.
